I recorded a recent walk from start to end to give people an unfiltered sense of how I deal with different scenarios with my reactive dogs.
The first video on getting my dogs into their harness and leash is out!! ππΎππΎ
If you understand the science of dog behavior, you don't need to constantly keep treating your dog to train them.
This video is the first in a series that I'm making around the different ways we train during our daily (ish) walks with two large pit-mixes.
In this video, I'm showing you the routine I follow before our walks to get my reactive/anxious hyperactive dogs geared up for our walk.
I focus on showing them what I WANT them to do instead of behavior that I don't like, making every effort to communicate this to them before they're able to exhibit the undesirable behavior (like jumping up on me/body slamming me or my mom - who's holding the camera).
Is there anything you would have done differently, or didn't understand? Let me know your thoughts and questions in the comments below.ππΎ
