I introduced myself to Dena at St. Joseph Farm Stand when I was just getting started. And I said , “Yeah, I just started my lil farm in my backyard… She called me out real quick and said, “Uh uh. Not your lil’ farm. That is your FARM, Say that.” And she was right. It’s not just a lil farm.

Sometimes it takes one voice to make you see yourself different and for that I am thankful! 🥹 👩🏽‍🌾

Another good harvest from our backyard farm and this girl is so proud of it.

Today we picked:
🥒 cucumbers
🍅 cherry and heirloom tomatoes
🥚 some eggs
🥒 zucchini
🟢 snow peas
🟣 purple beans
🌿 green onions
🌸 a few flowers just because

Even in this Arkansas heat, our little garden is still giving. And I love that Devani gets to be a part of it, from seed to plate.

This is why we farm. We teach. We grow. I want her to know that food doesn’t have to come from a store. It can come from your hands and your backyard.
