There's something a little magical about Christmas on the farm. The smell of fresh evergreens, twinkling lights, the warmth of a horse nearby, and those little moments with the people we love that we wish we could hold onto forever.

This year, we're bringing that magic to life!

**Copper Creek Stables is partnering with Laura Rodrigue Photography for Christmas Mini Sessions on Sunday, November 15!**

We've created two beautiful, rustic Christmas settings right here at the farm, perfect for capturing memories with your children, your sweetheart, your whole family, or even just yourself!

🎄 **The Christmas Barn**

Our beautiful red barn, dressed for the holidays with evergreens, cozy seating, Christmas lights, and a little Copper Creek charm. And, of course, you might just have a horse looking over your shoulder!

🌲 **The Woodland Bridge**

Tucked into the woods, our wooden bridge will be transformed with greenery, festive bows, and warm Christmas lights. A peaceful, storybook setting for those timeless holiday photographs.

Choose the Christmas Barn or Woodland Bridge.
Includes a minimum of 5 professionally edited digital photographs.

Children can enjoy an optional, hand-led pony ride for just **$10 per child**. A little extra Christmas magic and a memory of its own!

🌟 Special treat at 1:30 PM! Come cheer on our Pony Pals and their coaches as they show off some of the horsemanship skills they've been learning!

💰 $35 per child — Adults are FREE!
👶 Children 2 and under are FREE!
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Discounts available for families with three or more children.

Costumes are encouraged! Just make sure everyone has comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for being around horses.

There is something different about connecting with a horse before you ever climb into the saddle.
Join us at Copper Creek Stables for an afternoon designed to slow things down and experience horses in a more meaningful way.
We’ll begin with our **Grace & Gratitude connection work**—mindful grooming, learning how horses communicate, intentional leading, and hands-on Liberty work. Then we’ll saddle up and take that connection onto the trails for a peaceful, guided walk-only ride through Copper Creek.

I created this program because I am remarkably good at telling other people to give themselves grace and remarkably bad at doing it myself.

If you know me, you know my days are full. There are horses to care for, a barn to run, real estate work, family, and a to-do list that apparently knows how to reproduce when I’m not looking. And this year, underneath all of that, I’ve been learning how to live without my mom.

The strange thing about a hard year is that ordinary life keeps going. Horses still need dinner. Someone still needs an answer. You still have to remember why you walked into the tack room in the first place. (I would like to report that I do not always remember.)

But when I’m with a horse, I have to pay attention to what’s right in front of me. I notice when I’m rushing. I take a breath, soften my shoulders, and try again. For a little while, I can stop thinking three steps ahead.

That’s the heart of **Grace & Gratitude: Reset & Ride**. I wanted to make room for other people who are carrying a lot, too.

We’ll spend two Monday evenings grooming, leading, and working with the horses in the arena. The first week is **Lead with Purpose**. The second is **Listen and Respond**. Then, on Sunday, we’ll take that connection onto the trail for a peaceful, walk-only ride.

Five guests will ride before brunch, all ten of us will sit down and eat together, and the other five will ride afterward. I love that we’ll share the middle of the day as one group.

You don’t need horse experience. You don’t need to arrive feeling calm. You can come with a full head, a full heart, and absolutely no idea what you’re making for dinner. The horses are fine with all of that.

What a day for our Grace and Gratitude Riders! 💗🐴

To every athlete who rode, competed, and gave it their all: we are so proud of you. Watching your confidence and hard work shine yesterday was the best part of the day.

Thank you to our volunteers, coaches, families, friends, and everyone who helped behind the scenes. From preparing horses and equipment to offering a steady hand or a word of encouragement, you made this day possible.

A special thank you to Jan Marconi of Triple J. Jan, you trusted us to continue the work you began with so many of these athletes. We know how much care and time you have given them, and we are honored to carry that legacy forward.

Our hearts are full. Thank you for being part of this team and for making this Special Olympics day one we’ll remember. Enjoy the Ride with Grace & Gratitude. 💗

We’re at the Skowhegan Fairgrounds getting ready for tomorrow’s Special Olympics equestrian competition! 🐴💗

Our Grace and Gratitude Riders have worked so hard for this day, and we can’t wait to cheer them on. We’re proud of every athlete and grateful for the families, volunteers, coaches, and horses who helped them get here.
