Fetal fawns are one of the most challenging animals for me, they can really test patience.
Did you know that mammals with hooves are born with what's called fairy slippers. A soft rubbery texture on the bottom of hooves that lasts 24-48 hours after birth. The purpose of these slippers is to protect the mother's uterus and birth canal from sharp hooves.

I had the privilege to help clean the taxidermy mounts at the international cryptozoology museum today and got to meet the founder Loren Coleman.
Once located in Portland Maine and now moved to Bangor Maine a true hidden gem. If you want to learn more about bigfoot and other cryptids, or maybe you're not a believer, this museum may make you one.
Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. They are hoping to open the new location on April 1st.

It's been a bit since I've given an update. I am unfortunately still behind, I've been working 7 days a week, but I am making progress. The shop is full with mounts just waiting for finish work.
I'm currently focusing on small mammals and bears, and have been squeezing some deer and moose in. Life size mammals can be time consuming, between alterations, custom bases that need to be made. These things sometimes take longer than I had anticipated. I apologize for the delay, and I appreciate your patience.
