A jail cell looks different before it becomes part of a finished facility.

These photos from the Newberry County Detention Center’s new housing facility show the cell units from several perspectives: suspended from a crane, positioned inside the building and viewed from the interior.

The exposed framing and installed fixtures offer a closer look at components that will be much less visible as the surrounding construction progresses.

Bringing those units into place is one part of the larger coordination required to turn individual building components into a functioning facility.

The first stages of construction establish the working conditions for everything that follows.

Solid Structures has begun work on the City of West Columbia Maintenance Building. These early site photos document the project before vertical construction changes the view.

At this stage, coordinating site activities, equipment access and the sequence of upcoming work helps prepare the team for the next phases of construction.

Quality control is not a final walkthrough item. It should be part of the project from the beginning.
