On May 30th, 2025, the South Carolina State Firefighters' Association proudly marks 120 years of advocacy, dedication, and unwavering support for our firefighters all across the state of South Carolina 🧑‍🚒

🪓Our History:
We founded in 1905 when Charleston Fire Department Chief Louis Behrens organized a meeting to form the South Carolina State Firemen’s Association. Since its founding, the Association has been at the forefront of firefighter advocacy across South Carolina.

🏅Our Mission:
Leading fire service advocacy
Providing essential benefits to our members
Promoting fire service education and safety
Stewarding the Fireman’s Insurance and Inspection Fund

🤝Our values are inspired by the principles of the Maltese Cross: sympathy, service, perseverance, loyalty, courageousness, and tact.
