This adoption update had us crying tear of laughter and joy. What a purr-fect story that shows just how much personalities can emerge when pets are in loving homes!
"Hello!
Last year during your clear the shelters event, I took home my cat, so I thought I would update you all! She was listed as Princess Anne on her paperwork, but we renamed her Cinnamon (full name Cinnamon Raisin Bagel. My mom hates it, I think it’s hilarious) On her paperwork it had said she was shy and independent, but I can happily report that to be incorrect. Cinnamon is the most aggressively affectionate cat I have ever met, and I’ve met a lot of cats. From the first night home, she has slept right on top of me, either tucked under my arm or wrapped around my head. If I am on the couch, she will push her way onto my lap or perch on my shoulder, and will stay there for hours. She doesn’t know how to meow quite right, so she just squeaks when she wants attention. When she runs down the stairs, you can hear the thumping from 2 floors away. She loves being held but she just goes entirely limp when you pick her up. She will refuse to eat any wet food or treats, unless it is dried chicken hearts which she goes crazy for. She hides in the tunnel toy I got her and swats at my feet whenever I walk too close. Her top two canine teeth go past her bottom lip which makes her snore very loud and look like a little vampire kitty. She is the weirdest animal I have ever met, and she is so immensely loved. Whenever we tell people she was in two shelters for over a month they are shocked, she is so cute and sweet it is almost unbelievable. I have attached some of my favorite pictures of her, she has quickly overtaken my camera roll. I hope you enjoy them, and I appreciate everything you do."
