We are excited to announce that starting in September we have a new veterinarian joining the Quail Valley family!!! š„°
Dr. Claire McDonald grew up locally in Jefferson City, Missouri and is a 2018 graduate of Helias high school. Her family owned dogs and horses and she knew from a young age that she wanted to be a veterinarian. Dr. McDonald obtained her undergraduate degree in biology at William Woods University in 2021, then went on to complete her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the University of Missouri in 2025. This past year, she completed a rotating equine internship at Palm Beach Equine Clinic in Wellington, Florida in which she worked with horses in western, hunter/jumper, polo, and dressage disciplines. She is very excited to begin working at Quail Valley to offer veterinary services to her home community. In her free time, she enjoys hiking or going for a run, trying new restaurants, traveling, listening to music, and playing the piano.
