While we try to focus on the needs of the dogs, sometimes there are special people in our lives that need help too.

Carmen Cook is one of those special people. She is a key employee at Bridge Park Animal Hospital who pours her heart and soul into the dogs from BarkVille Dog Rescue .

Today we ask that you consider helping Carmen and her daughter.

What a celebration it was Saturday night!!!!

Rockin' for Rescue brought together a huge community of folks for one great evening to help BarkVille Dog Rescue commemorate 10 years of rescue with over 3000 dogs saved.

This milestone was an emotional one for our group and the love that we felt on Saturday helped us wake up on Sunday ready to save the next 3000. z

The sun was shining, the food was delicious, the alcohol was flowing, the band was epic and the people were beautiful!

We had one extremely special guest who is making such a huge impact on the lives of dogs at the Cobb County shelter. Her name is Bruna Sharin Love and she put together a video that we played on Saturday night that had men, women and children crying throughout the venue.

Mr Personality!!! This is Biloxi for sure!!

This ridiculously cute, fat headed boy had a wonderful adventure with one of our volunteers who is also his trainer at Rucker Dog Training!!

Biloxi is around 2 yrs old, 55lbs, dog and kid friendly, crate trained and housebroken. He really is the complete package!!

Biloxi got to get out of boarding and went on a shopping trip to Petsmart where he enjoyed modeling all the new summer costumes and afterwards he got to enjoy a pup cup!!!!

Biloxi was super well behaved on his outing and is hoping to catch the eye of an interested foster or adopter! Biloxi is energetic and fun loving but he is also 100% obedience trained and comes with life time free training classes!!

Tonight we celebrate!!!! 3000+ dogs lives saved over our first 10 years as a rescue organization!

We all know it takes a village so come on out and party with the village as we get ready to save the next 3000 dogs with your help. Tell your friends, neighbors, family...tell everyone to come on out for Rockin' for Rescue tonight from 6-10pm at the Amphitheater at Newtown Park in Johns Creek for a rockin' good time.

Here are the faces we worry about every day and night…..

Here are the dogs we rescued to give a better life and one way or the other we have failed them.

Here are the dogs that spend 23 hours a day of their lives stuck in a 3x3 enclosure that the rescue is spending over $10K a month on….

Here are the dogs that listen to loud barking, metal clanking and very few human voices day in and day out.

Here are the dogs that are slowly deteriorating- developing behaviors they never had, having high stress and losing weight because of it.

Here we are…..and without more volunteers to give them more walks, outings and attention we are left with some pretty upsetting decisions to make.

Here we are like every other day begging for foster and volunteer help that isn’t coming…..

Here we are tired, desperate and utterly heartbroken…..

If anyone can find it in their hearts to help us now would be the time- email us at [email protected] Whatever you can do - walk dogs, go sit outside with them, take one home, foster or adopt it would be a true miracle and deeply appreciated.

Rescue is hard on us- but ten times harder on the dogs.

As we face an unprecedented crisis in rescue, one of our beloved dogs, Russell, is facing an uncertain future. With his foster home coming to an end, he's at risk of being sent to boarding in a few days. In boarding he will be provided basic care, but his life will consist of being in a small run 24/7 except for the occasional potty break. This is the reality for 12 now soon to be 13 of our BarkVille dogs- and it is gut wrenching to see.

Russell's story is heartbreaking, but it's not unique. Many dogs like him are losing their lives in shelters and having their souls crushed in long term boarding facilities.

We're reaching out for help - and praying someone hears us this time. Can you provide a loving foster home for Russell? He's a gentle soul, housebroken, and crate trained. If you're willing to open your heart and home, we'll be with you every step of the way. But understand fostering is work- there is a transition period- things will not be perfect…. But if you keep at it you will be rewarded with so much love!! Finding a forever home for a rescue is like nothing else- it is worth every ounce of sacrifice!!
