It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Saydee, whose gentle spirit and unconditional love touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Saydee was more than a dear friend to all of us here at the Pickens County Animal Shelter — she was family, a source of comfort, and a bright light in our lives. Her memory will forever remain in our hearts.

In honor of Saydee’s life and the joy she brought to ours, we will be waiving the adoption fees of all our cats to loving homes this Saturday August 23, 2025. We hope that, through them, a piece of her love and warmth will live on, bringing happiness to others as she did for us.

May her memory inspire kindness, compassion, and the simple joy of giving an animal a safe and loving home.
