Safety of pets while at your facility and at home is vital. Did you know many common household items, foods, and plants can be harmful or even deadly to our pets? Here's what you need to know!
Know the Hazards: Familiarize yourself with common pet toxins, including certain foods, medications, household chemicals, and toxic plants.

Secure Household Items: Keep hazardous substances out of reach and in secure containers. Childproof locks can be helpful to prevent curious pets from accessing cabinets.

Pet-Proof Your Home: Remove toxic plants from your home or place them in areas your pets can't access. Store cleaning products safely.

Proper Medication Storage: Store medications in a secure location, and never give your pet medication without consulting your veterinarian.

Pet-Safe Foods: Be cautious with what you feed your pets. Some human foods, like chocolate, grapes, and onions, can be toxic to them.

Emergency Contact: Have the contact information for your veterinarian and a 24/7 animal poison control hotline readily available.
