Dona enjoying a beautiful afternoon on the ranch 🖤

One of the things I appreciate most about her is that she represents an older style of German Shepherd than many people are used to seeing today. With her rich black and tan pigmentation, inverted mask, substantial bone, and powerful build, she has the kind of presence that immediately catches your eye.

I’ve always appreciated quality dogs across different styles of the breed, but Dona’s classic, “old type” look has always held a special place in my heart.

Now heading into the final stretch of her pregnancy, we’re starting to see her body change as she prepares to welcome her final litter. Even carrying puppies, she’s still out covering ground, kicking up dust, and enjoying life on the ranch.

Due at the end of the month, and I couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead! 🐶🐾❤️

This breeding brings together some of my favorite bloodlines and dogs. Empire combines the powerful genetics of Vertex aus der Königshöhle and Kareah Anrebri, while Flannery is out of my own Branwen Thorvin and the impressive Argo Vlčí údolí.

We expect puppies with strong nerves, excellent trainability, balanced drives, substantial bone, athletic structure, and the confidence and stability needed for sport, working homes, personal protection, and active families.

Another successful Board & Train graduate! 🎓🐾

Echo from our FF litter went home today after 3 weeks of intensive training focused on confidence building, socialization, obedience, crate training, recall, heeling, place, leave it, and overall manners.

Her owners haven’t even had her home long and are already raving about how well behaved she is. That’s the goal..not just a trained dog, but a dog that’s enjoyable to live with every day.

So proud of this girl and excited to see what the future holds for her! 🖤🔥

FAFO “Boomer” vd Mächtigen 🖤

Just 6 months old and already 61 lbs.

Boomer is everything we hoped for and more. He’s incredibly easy to live with, social, environmentally confident, and brings intensity when it’s time to work. High drives, clear headed, biddable, and always ready for the next adventure.

Currently training in Schutzhund and showing all the qualities we love to see in a young prospect. He has the confidence to tackle new challenges, the drive to work all day, and the temperament to be an outstanding companion when the work is done.

A super puppy and one we’re very excited about for the future. 🔥

As our program continues to develop, we occasionally have young adult dogs and upcoming prospects become available when they ultimately aren’t the right fit for our long-term breeding, sport, or training goals.

We currently have a small number of prospects available to approved homes at reduced rehoming fees.

These are quality dogs that simply took us in a different direction than originally planned. As breeders and trainers, not every promising prospect ends up fitting the specific goals of our program, and we believe those dogs deserve homes where they can be someone’s perfect companion, sport partner, or working dog.

An incredibly valuable day for Boomer and I.

We had the opportunity to head out and train with Darlene Judd and world certified USCA helper Manual Snowhite for Boomer’s very first IGP session working all three phases: tracking, obedience, and protection.

We walked away with a ton of knowledge, homework, and small details to sharpen moving forward. Days like this are exactly why I value getting dogs on different fields, around experienced eyes, and continuously learning.

Boomer showed me a lot today. He has an incredibly bright future ahead of him and I’m beyond grateful for the opportunity to showcase him, get honest feedback, and continue building him the right way.

6 years old and still making us proud every single day. 🖤

We took this girl in for a full exam and bloodwork today, and everything came back excellent. At 6 years old, that’s something I never take for granted.

What made me the happiest, though, was how beautifully she handled the entire appointment. Perfect for her exam, blood draw, restraint, and even being lifted by the vet techs. Calm, trusting, stable, and easy to handle, which is exactly what a German Shepherd should be. Per the techs, she was the best and easiest dog to handle.

So grateful for this girl and all the years, memories, and love she’s given us already. We love you more than you know. 🖤

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the incredible moms out there .. human and canine alike 🤍

Today I’m especially grateful for the amazing mothers here at the ranch. The girls who give so much of themselves to raise confident, stable, loving puppies while still being our companions, protectors, and family members every single day. Watching them nurture their babies, teach them, comfort them, and shape them into the dogs they become is something I never take for granted.

These moms are the foundation of so much of what I’ve built, and I’m endlessly thankful for each of them .. past, present, and future. 🐾

Motherhood comes in many forms, and today we celebrate all of it. Happy Mother’s Day 💐

End of an era.

Tally and Ursa — both officially stepping out of the program and into retirement life.

Tally is the female who started everything here. She produced my very first A litter and laid the foundation for what this program has become.

Ursa was my first import and produced my first ever working line litter — and the dam to Cymba.

Between the two of them, they built this program.

Both girls had pre-surgery bloodwork done… and both came back phenomenal. Strong, healthy, happy, and exactly what you want to see at this stage in life.

This is what longevity, structure, and doing things right looks like.

They’ve done their job and then some. Now they just get to live.
