🐾💙 Happy National Dog Day! 💙🐾

Today, we’re celebrating the retirement of one of our clients from the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department — K9 Figo! 🐕‍🦺🚔

K9 Figo came to Sergeant Holzapfel after some training in Germany, and what started with a photo and a few videos quickly became an incredible partnership. Together, they have made countless drug arrests through their years in service to keep our community safe.

Sergeant Holzapfel told us about one time when officers were searching for a gun that had been thrown into a local park. Figo was brought in to search the area and found the firearm in a large pile of bushes in less than two minutes. His work not only helped with the case, but more importantly, kept a dangerous weapon from potentially being found by a child. ❤️

After a dedicated career of service, Figo is now ready for retirement — spending his days at home with his human family, his dog sister Nyah, and plenty of love (and Nylabones! 🦴).

Thank you, Figo, for your service, loyalty, and countless contributions to our community. And thank you, Sergeant Holzapfel, for giving this good boy such a wonderful home and partnership.

Happy retirement, Figo! You’ve earned it. 💙🐕‍🦺
