Texas Litter Control, "TLC", is an animal welfare organization existing for the sole purpose of supporting our animals, pet owners and animal shelters. TLC started as a single high quality, high volume spay/neuter and wellness clinic for cats and dogs in an 800 foot trailer. We now operate three clinics for cats and dogs. TLC offers an expanded access to healthcare programs for those who cannot afford full service veterinary clinics. We maintain a shelter intervention program (HelpMeKeepMyPet.com) to help people keep their pets in a time of crisis. TLC has training programs for veterinary surgeons and clinic staff (TLCEducationStation.org). We offer spay/neuter transport services to underservices areas. We maintain a petfood pantry for people needing short term assistance. Texas Litter Control is also responsible for changing the Montgomery County ordinances to protect community cats We also act as a provider for Harris County's community cat program These community cat programs have saved hundreds of cats a year. TLC believes in changing with the times Other communities have come up with so many innovative ways to reduce the suffering of pets and their people. We host an annual conference called the United Pet Rescuers Conference. This conference shows off what others are doing and brings the animal welfare community together. We have performed over 100,000 spay/neuter services since we were founded. Spaying and neutering is still the number one way to help your community. You can join us in supporting your local shelters by just fixing your pets and spreading the word! Stay tuned for more life saving programs!

They were here for such a short part of our lives, but they stay in our hearts forever 🧡

We asked our community to share photos of the pets they have loved and lost, and the response was overwhelming 🥹 This year, we built Día de los Mu***os ofrendas to honor the babies you trusted us with 🕯️🐾

You can visit them now at all 4 of our clinics, Spring, Humble, Tomball, and Houston, up through November 3. Every photo on these tables was somebody’s whole world, and it means everything to us that you shared them with us 🌼

Until we meet them again at the Rainbow Bridge 🌈

🌼 Día de los Mu***os is a time to honor the pets we have loved and lost, the ones who were never “just a pet” to us. 🕯️ This year our clinics are putting up ofrendas in their memory. 🧡

We would love for you to be part of it. Send us a photo of a pet you have lost through DM, and we will print it and add it to the ofrenda at our Spring, Tomball, and Houston clinics (Humble’s display is already up!). Please send photos by tomorrow morning so we can get them printed and placed. 🐾

Displays will be up through November 3.

Everyone, meet Damien 👻

And yes, he is our SECOND Damien. Two different people dated a Damien and both decided he had this coming. Damien is officially haunted (and neutered). No more causing trouble in the streets!🤞🏻

Want to haunt your ex? Donate any amount and we will neuter a feral cat in their name, name him after them, and send you a certificate to prove it.

Meet Amaya 🐾

This sweet girl is the only adoption kitty we have left who still needs a home, and she would love to find one before her BIRTHDAY on October 26. She is 5, almost 6.❤️

Amaya can be a little standoffish at first, but once she settles in she is a sweetheart. She absolutely loves treats and wet food, and her favorite pastime is sitting by the window people watching. 🖼️

She would do best in a home with no kids or older kids. If you think Amaya could be your girl, send us a message and we will get you connected.✨

Our next Vet Tech Week spotlight is Deana, part of our surgery team, who has been with TLC for 3 and a half years and in the veterinary field for 7! 🩺💉
Her favorite part of the job is helping owners learn how to care for their pets, and behind her is the part of the day she knows best, a room full of patients waking up safe and sound. 😻
