🎆 Fireworks may be fun for us, but they can be frightening for our furry family members. 🐾❤️
Before the celebrations begin, check out these 5 simple tips to help keep your pets safe and calm this 4th of July:
🐶 Tire them out with extra playtime and a long walk.
🏠 Keep doors, windows, and curtains securely closed.
🎶 Turn on white noise, fans, or calming music to help mask the fireworks.
🧩 Keep them busy with a favorite treat, puzzle toy, or lick mat.
💊 If your pet has vet-prescribed anxiety medication or calming supplements, give them 1–2 hours before dark so they have time to take effect.
🇺🇸 Reminder: Meyerland Animal Clinic will be closed on Saturday, July 4th. If your pet may need anxiety medication or you have any questions about helping them through the holiday, please call us before the holiday so we can help you prepare.
A little planning today can make a big difference tomorrow. ❤️🐾
Have a safe, happy, and stress-free Independence Day!
