You looked outside this morning, heard the rain hitting the windows and made a silent deal with yourself to reschedule everything that wasn't absolutely necessary.

We get it. Nobody wants to load up the car, get soaked in a parking lot and sit in a waiting room with a wet dog and a bad attitude.

Here's the thing though. Dr. Miller and Kelsey are already out in it. Wipers on, pulling up to front doors all over the city, so you don't have to go anywhere. That's not a rainy day workaround. That's the whole model.

Tick season in Alabama is not just summer. It's year-round and getting worse. Auburn University's Vet School (where Dr. Miller went and taught after graduating!) confirmed this year that ticks are spreading faster than ever, and the Birmingham area is right in the middle of it. Lone star ticks. Blacklegged ticks. All of them active, all of them carrying diseases that seriously harm your pet and your family.

The fix is simple: year-round tick prevention. When Dr. Miller visits your home, ask her what the right product is for your pet.

We had a great time at St. Elias Maronite Catholic Church last night for their Family Night! We met some awesome kids, talked about how a mobile veterinarian works, and ate some great food! The most common thing we hear from new clients is some version of “my neighbor/coworker/sister told me about you.” Yesterday we saw a new patient who found us from a flyer hanging in their office.

We haven’t hung a flyer anywhere.

Meet Ollie. She came in for her checkup this week and, honestly, she ran the whole appointment. Sat perfectly while Dr. Miller finished up her notes, then made sure the treat situation was handled before she left.

That's the thing about seeing pets in our clinic instead of a waiting room. They're calm. They're themselves. Ollie wasn't nervous or hiding. She was just... Ollie.
