Around here, we think ๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฒ ๐๐š๐ฒ is Dog Day anyway โ€” but we certainly arenโ€™t going to pass up an excuse to celebrate the dogs who make our lives happier, messier, louder, and a whole lot more fun. โค๏ธ

At The Happy Retriever, weโ€™re lucky enough to spend our days with ๐’”๐’ ๐’Ž๐’‚๐’๐’š ๐’Š๐’๐’„๐’“๐’†๐’…๐’Š๐’ƒ๐’๐’† ๐’…๐’๐’ˆ๐’” โ€” from the puppies just starting their training journey, to our longtime familiar faces, boarding buddies, Bump Up regulars, class superstars, and every goofy personality in between.

They challenge us. They make us laugh. They keep us on our toes. They occasionally make us question our life choices. ๐Ÿ˜‚ And they remind us every single day why we love what we do.

So even though weโ€™re technically a day late, give your pup an extra treat, an extra walk, a few extra belly rubs, or just remind them how ridiculously obsessed with them you are. ๐Ÿฅฐ

We offer two levels depending on where your dog is in their training:

Yesterday, Bennie and I had ourselves a DAY. We started by joining The Happy Retrieverโ€™s Pack Walk, led by our head trainer, Hannah, at Blair Square in Holliston.

Our Pack Walks give owners the opportunity to work with their dogs in a real-world setting with the support of a trainer, while getting some great exposure to dogs, people, sights, sounds, and all the other distractions that come with being out in the world.

Now that Bennie is officially off his fluoxetine, getting him outside of the familiar environment of the center is especially important for us โ€” and Iโ€™m SO proud to say ๐ก๐ž ๐๐ข๐ ๐ ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ญ. โ™ฅ๏ธ He was excited to be out and about, walked with the group beautifully, and especially enjoyed rolling around in the grass afterward. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Then Hannah and I brought him back to the center for a tubby and the full spa treatment. He had some serious pre-bath zoomies, but eventually settled in and did amazing for everything โ€” including the force dryer.

The Happy Hoodie? ๐Œ๐ข๐ฑ๐ž๐ ๐ซ๐ž๐ฏ๐ข๐ž๐ฐ๐ฌ.
The wig? ๐€๐›๐ฌ๐จ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐ง๐จ๐ญ ๐ฉ๐š๐ซ๐ญ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐š๐ ๐ซ๐ž๐ž๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ.๐Ÿ’€

He was compensated heavily in treats for putting up with us.

Days like yesterday make me so happy. After everything weโ€™ve worked on with Bennie, I love getting to watch him just ๐›๐ž ๐š ๐๐จ๐ โ€” going on adventures, rolling in the grass, getting the zoomies, eating too many treats, and occasionally being subjected to a terrible wig by people who love him. ๐Ÿ˜‚

I love this dog so much. โ™ฅ๏ธ
