At 15 years young, our friend Honey has walked her fair share of trails and she takes this sentiment to heart every time her paws hit the path.
Thereโs something a dog understands about a trail that many humans have yet to figure out. It doesnโt matter if youโve walked the same path a hundred timesโฆ thereโs always something new to discover. A fresh smell carried on the breeze. A patch of sunlight highlighting a fallen tree. A sound just beyond the brush that pricks your ears and piques your interest. If youโre paying attention, every walk can be its own adventure full of discovery.
Today is ๐ก๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐ง๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ถ๐น๐ ๐๐ฎ๐, a great reminder to get outside. Whether itโs a favorite loop you could walk in your sleep or somewhere youโve never been, bring your dog and follow their lead. You might be surprised what you notice.
There are more than 200,000 miles of trails across the U.S., and a good number of beautiful ones right here in Massachusetts. Get out there, theyโre not going to walk themselves. ๐พ๐ฅพ
