Meatball was one of the 7 pit puppies that came into our care, he will be getting the rest of his vetting taken care of and then picked up later!

🎉🐾 OUR FIRST ADOPTION OF THE DAY!!! 🐾🎉

Our handsome boy SERGE kicked off our Birthday Bash Adoption Event by finding his FOREVER HOME!! 🥹❤️

Serge’s stay with us may have been short, but it was oh so sweet! This precious boy stole our hearts, and we couldn’t be happier for him! 🐶💕

He will be getting neutered tomorrow morning, and then his new family will be picking him up to officially begin his happily ever after! 🏡❤️

🥺💔 “I’m only 5 years old… and I’ve never had to wonder where my home was until now.”

Hi everyone, it’s me, Staley! 🐾❤️

You might remember seeing my face a couple of days ago when I first arrived at PAWS. Well, my new friends have gotten to know me a little better, and they told me I should introduce myself again because apparently, I’m a REALLY good girl! 🥹

You see, I spent my entire life knowing what it felt like to have a home. A place where I belonged, familiar faces, and a routine I understood. Now, at 5 years old, everything I’ve ever known has changed, and I’m trying my very best to understand why. 💔

Most of the time, you can find me curled up in a little ball inside my kennel. I’m not used to this kind of life, and my friends here are worried that the longer I stay, the harder it’s going to be on me. They don’t want to see my sweet spirit fade away, and neither do I. 🥺

But enough of the sad stuff! Let me tell you why I might just be the girl you’ve been looking for! 🐶💕

🐾 I’m a 5-year-old German Shepherd mix!

🏡 I’m COMPLETELY potty trained! No puppy potty-training struggles here!

🦴 I know how to SIT and LAY DOWN, and if you’ve got a treat in your hand, I’ll do just about anything you ask!

🐕 I’m GREAT with other dogs!

👧 I love kids and would make a wonderful family companion!

🌳 I absolutely LOVE being outside, going for walks, and enjoying some fresh air!

❤️ I’m a laid-back, gentle girl who loves nothing more than getting pets and soaking up some affection.

🐱 I haven’t met any kitties here just yet, but my friends can arrange a cat test if you have some at home!

I’m not asking for anything fancy. I don’t need a huge yard, a mountain of toys, or someone to entertain me every second of the day. I just want to feel like I belong somewhere again. Somewhere I can curl up at night knowing that tomorrow, I’ll still be home. 🥹❤️

My friends say I still have a little bit of business to take care of before I can leave! I’m waiting on my spay and rabies appointment, but that doesn’t mean you have to wait to come meet me!

In fact, I’d REALLY love it if someone came to visit and decided I was worth waiting for. 🥺

I spent 5 years knowing what home felt like. Please don’t let me spend the next chapter of my life learning what it’s like to live without one. 💔

🚨 DUCK IS STILL WAITING FOR HIS FOREVER HOME! 🐾

Hi, I’m Duck! I’m 9 months old, made of wiggles and puppy energy, and always ready for whatever fun comes next! 🎾 I love being outside, playing with my toys, and enjoying treats—so if you’ve got one in your pocket, I’m already your biggest fan. 😋💛

I’ve had a lot of changes in my young life. I was adopted from the shelter I was at before coming to PAWS, and after I arrived here, I found a home again. Now I’m back at the shelter, still hoping to find the family I can grow up with and call mine for good. 🏡

I’m a sweet boy with lots to offer! I’m potty trained, know “sit” and “lay down,” and LOVE other dogs. I’ve also done well with kids and cats, so I could fit right into a home that’s ready for a fun-loving young pup. 🐶🐱

I’m one of our longest residents, and I’ve been waiting for someone to see what a special dog I am. I have so much love, joy, and goofy puppy fun to bring to a family. Come meet me at our adoption event on October 28, from 9 AM to 5 PM! Maybe you’ll be the person I’ve been waiting for. 💛🐾

Hi, I’m Memphis. I’m about a year old, possibly a Cane Corso mix, and I’m the longest resident at Horse Plus PAWS. I’ve been waiting for my person for far too long. ❤️

I know what it’s like to have a person of my own. I was adopted, but when my person had to move out of state, I found myself back in a shelter. Since then, I’ve been through several changes, and all that stress may be part of why my skin has flared up. I had my appointment today and learned I have Demodex, a type of mange. It isn’t contagious to people or other pets, and it isn’t the intensely itchy kind.

My treatment plan is manageable: antibiotics and antifungal medication, antifungal baths twice a week, and NexGard Plus, which will help treat the Demodex and protect me from fleas and ticks. I just need someone who’ll keep up with my care while I settle into a loving home. And I won’t need this treatment forever! Just until I heal❤️

There’s so much more to me than my skin! I’m potty trained, do well with dogs, cats, and kids, and have the goofiest personality. I’m an absolute sweetheart and could make the perfect family dog. I was a fantastic passenger on the way to my appointment, too—maybe your next co-pilot? 🚗

I’ve spent so long waiting for someone to choose me. I’m ready for a soft place to land and a family to love. Please look past my skin, give me a chance, and come meet the goofy, loving boy who’s been waiting for his forever home. 🥹❤️

Did you know we have cats available for adoption at both locations? 🐱

Along with the cats at our shelter, Clover, Black Widow, and Ginger are living as barn cats down at our main facility—and they’re all absolute sweethearts! 💕 They’re doing well there, but we think they might love the chance to trade barn life for a cozy home and a family of their own.

Meet Staley! This sweet German Shepherd mix came in with her fur brothers, Beauder and Serge. She’s still a little confused by all the changes and taking her time settling in, but she has such a gentle, loving heart. ❤️

We’re guessing Staley is around 5 years old. She’s potty trained and knows sit! She’s still waiting to finish her intake and be spayed before she’s ready to go home, but she’d love visitors to help her feel more comfortable and get to know her. Come meet this sweetheart! More information will be shared as we learn more about her.
