To all our clients that received the email regarding Microchips yesterday.
In order to quell any concerns, if your pet was microchipped here at Hohenwald Animal Hospital, we do not use "Save This Life" microchips. We use AVID brand microchips and we register them for you before you leave here from your appointment.
However, it is always a good idea to make sure your pets microchip is registered and the information up to date.
If you are unsure of your microchip status, you can also search your pets microchip number on the AAHA website and make sure it is registered with the national database company (AAHA website).

I have included a couple of Microchip registration options in the event you pet was not microchipped with us. There is also the www.freepetchipregistry.com. This free registry is connected to the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool, ensuring your contact information is available when scanned.

Happy Spay Day to The Cuddles Group! They tested negative for disease, got vaccinated against rabies & are getting spayed or neutered. Special thanks to our awesome vet clinic, Hohenwald Animal Hospital , for working these kitties in so quickly! If you're interested in meeting any of these beauties, contact us. We can often do same-day adoptions if you apply & qualify. We're in Hohenwald TN Sun-Fri & in Spring Hill TN on Saturdays. We'll have Cozy & Cuddles with us this Sat, 12-2pm at our Adoption Event in Spring Hill TN PetSmart... please meet them! Comfort should be healed from spay by the following Adoption Event (Feb 1st). We are excited to announce Dr. Jamie Franks will be joining the Hohenwald Animal Hospital Team starting Monday Jan 6th.
We would like to introduce you to Dr. Jaime Franks (some of you all may already know her).
Dr. Jamie Franks grew up in Hohenwald and always knew she wanted to be a veterinarian. She started working for Dr. Scott (her first and most favorite mentor) as a kennel volunteer at 16 and has been in the field for almost 17 years now. She graduated from Lincoln Memorial University in 2019 with her DVM degree. She has worked as a mixed animal practitioner for over 5 years now. She has a passion for small animal surgery and emergency medicine. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her pets, kayaking, baking and riding her motorcycle.
