🚨URGENT: HELP US SAVE THEM🚨
Right now, there are innocent horses standing in small, crowded pens. They don’t know that they’ve been sold for slaughter. All they know is that they’re tired, hungry, and in pain.
Soon they’ll be fearfully forced into crammed trailers, driven for hours on end without food or water, never knowing if they’re headed towards more holding areas, or reaching the end of the road.
This is not a scare tactic. It’s the truth. And this will be the tragic reality of 25 innocent horses. Unless we step in.
Once they’re loaded onto that trailer, there is no coming back.

🚨ATTENTION: HORSES IN DANGER🚨
Slaughtering horses in the United States may not be legal, but shipping them to slaughter still is. We are working around the clock not only behind the scenes but on the front lines trying to change that.
Change takes time, but for 25 horses, time is almost up. Next Tuesday we have the opportunity to save them from slaughter and we can only do that if we can raise $11,250 before then.
Each horse initially costs $450, and that’s only to get them to our facility. The cost of care for these horses averages to $1000 each after the amount of medical and nutritional care they will receive in our care. We desperately need your help!

The USDA released a report on June 18th detailing the number of horses exported into Mexico. There was a significant increase in numbers, from 457 horses in the previous week to 569.

Medical Findings for Tarheel's Irresistible 🩺
This sweet boy suffered from multiple severe health issues, including kissing spine where his vertebrae were painfully bone on bone. The chronic suffering he endured was immense, and his body was completely breaking down. We believe this was due to the years of rigorous training and abuse to achieve the artificial gait known as the "Big Lick." He was once a champion, but when his body was too broken down, he was cruelly discarded into the slaughter pipeline, where we found him. To relieve his chronic suffering, Tarheel's Irresistible was humanely euthanized.

Yesterday, John Rose for Tennessee a Tennessee Representative and a declared candidate for Tennessee Governor, posted his support for "Big Lick" exhibitors. We need Tennesseans and everyone to step forward and help educate him that supporting a small group of people involved in the "Big Lick" is not the way to gain support for his campaign.

The "Big Lick" involves inhumane practices that inflict painful damage to horses, often leading to them being discarded into the slaughter pipeline when they are no longer able to perform or even walk. This is not natural; it is abuse.
