When our friends at Boggy Hollow Boarding heard we needed to get some dogs out of the kennels, they jumped into action!

They showed up and grabbed SIX of our dogs for a much needed break and some mini training sessions!!

If you’re looking for boarding, daycare, or training, Neal and Anna-Marie are your people! We’re so lucky to know them and grateful that they dropped everything on a Saturday to help our crew out!

Well the rats had a buffet last night…

Apparently water lines taste LOVELY! So now our main kennel building is flooded and a mess. We’ve got the water stopped and we’re working on cleaning, but we’d love to clear the dogs out for the day.

Even a quick walk on the trace would help give us room to work and clean! Stop by and grab a weekend or day foster if you’re able to!

If any plumbers wanted to donate their services to update our shut off valve, and maybe a few other fixtures, that would be greatly appreciated!!!

Continuing with the Taco Bell menu….🌮💛

Sweet Crunchwrap is not handling the loud shelter environment well at all. Now that we’ve got Taco Bell safely in a foster home, we’d love to give this girl a quiet place to decompress.

After living in a trailer with 74 other dogs, she needs to learn that the world isn’t scary, so she can prepare for a home of her own. Can you be her lifeline?

We provide all supplies for fosters! You just provide a quiet room or comfy couch she can crash on. All animals in the home must be fixed and up to date on vaccines.

🌮 Taco Bell is serving up the saddest little black-and-brown wrinkle face. 🥺🐾

He is absolutely terrified at the shelter, and we desperately want to give him a chance to show us who he really is outside of this overwhelming environment.

With 99 animals on site and just a few employees, we simply can’t do it without our community.

And we have to believe there is a home out there with one extra spot on the couch, one quiet corner, and one person willing to let this wrinkly little guy decompress. ❤️

We provide everything else!

Taco Bell doesn’t need you to save the whole shelter. He just needs you to make room for him.

Nobody dreams of a paper towel donor. Until you’ve worked at an animal shelter. 😂🧻

We’re always talking about food, toys, beds, and treats… but there’s one unsung hero keeping the shelter running:

PAPER. TOWELS.

Because dogs have accidents. Cats knock things over. Puppies make questionable choices. And sometimes… we simply don’t ask questions. 😂

If you’re making a Target, Walmart, or grocery run, consider tossing an extra roll (or 12 😉) into your cart for the shelter.

Our animals will make the mess. You can help with the cleanup. 🐾🧻

🖤 Meet Winnie! 🖤

Four-month-old Winnie is looking for her forever home! This sweet, playful little girl has so much love to give, but she's already facing one of the biggest challenges shelter cats can face… black cat syndrome.

Black cat syndrome is the unfortunate tendency for black cats to be overlooked in shelters. Whether it's because they don't stand out in photos, old superstitions, or people simply choosing more colorful cats first, black cats often wait much longer to be adopted than other kittens.

While Winnie waits, we'd love to make life a little more fun for her and all of our kittens waiting for forever homes.

We're collecting cat toys! They don't have to be brand new. If your picky kitty ignored that crinkle ball, wand toy, or catnip mouse and it's collecting dust, we'd be thrilled to give it a second life.

We also happily accept:
🧻 Paper towel rolls
🧻 Toilet paper rolls

A simple toy can make a shelter day a whole lot brighter.

If you're not in a position to adopt, please consider donating a few toys—or better yet, share Winnie's story. The right person might just be one share away.
