The weekend is here, and our adorable adoptable kitties are ready to soak up all the love, snuggles, and playtime you can give them! Whether you want to relax with a coffee, shop our gift section, or maybe even meet your forever best friend, we’ve got you covered. 💛

All of our cats are adoptable through The Pretty Pittie Committee — fixed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and waiting patiently for their purrfect match. 🏡🐱

It’s Feline Fact Friday 🐾 and today we’re talking about how to read your cat’s body language!

Cats are masters of subtle communication, and learning their signals helps you build trust and keep them happy. Here are some key signs:

GOOD VIBES 😺
• Purring – Often means your kitty feels safe and happy (though some cats purr when nervous too, so read the full context).
• Rubbing – A sweet greeting and a way of saying, “You’re mine!” (literally marking you with their scent).
• Meowing – Many cats meow just to chat or get your attention—some are extra talkative!
• Exposed Tummy – The ultimate sign of trust. But beware: not all cats want belly rubs even if they show their tummy.

WARNING SIGNS 😾
• Flicking Tail – A twitching or thumping tail can mean annoyance or anger; give them space.
• Flattened Ears – Indicates fear or feeling threatened.
• Arched Back with Fur Standing Up – Your cat is scared or startled; they’re making themselves look “bigger.”
• Hissing – A clear “back off” signal; they feel defensive and need space.

Every cat is unique, but understanding these signals helps you know when to offer cuddles and when to give them room. 🐱💛
