Because of all of you, KitKat has recieved a record setting number of applications for adoption and our Animal Control Officer is returning calls and sifting through applicants.

We are so grateful for the outpurrring of support and we know that KitKat will be in a loving home soon!

This is KitKat…. 🐈‍⬛
She is a love…. ❤️
She loves to cuddle….
She loves to purrrrrrrr…..
She loves to play….
And she would love to find a home.

KitKat is perfect in every way…. Except…. She can’t see.

Yup…. Blind as a bat with no echolocation. She bumps into things until she figures out the lay of the land, but she is fully capable of learning and eager to please.

She loves dogs… because she can’t see them to be scared… 😂

So… KitKat is the opposite of a “fraidy cat” 🐈‍⬛

Ms. Delilah has been adopted! She will be getting those beautiful eyes fixed and she is so happy in her new loving home!

We have had Ms. Delilah with us for the past few days. She was found in the area of Great Hill Rd and Durham Rd meandering in the woods…. Don’t let her slim appearance fool you… she looooves treats 🦴

Ollie is missing and we need your help! He went missing last night, 7/4/25, around 9pm from the area of Flat Iron Rd and Rt 80. His family is frantically looking for him. If you have seen this fluffy fella please give us a call (203-453-8061) so we can get him home safely ❤️

Heads Up Guilford!
Taylor is missing in the Guilford area near I-95 and the Branford line.
Volunteers are out looking for her now but if you see her or hear barking in the woods, let us or Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter know. Taylor has a harness and a leash on.

TAYLOR WAS SEEN ON THE HIGHWAY BETWEEN EXIT 56 AND 57 NORTH 😭 and NEAR RED HILL RD IN BRANFORD> WE ARE ASKING THAT GUILFORD RSDIENTS CALL US IF THEY HAVE SIGHTINGS . STAFF ARE ACTIVELY LOOKING FOR HER!!

BRANFORD RESIDENTS PLEASE KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN FOR THIS LOST DOG

TAYLOR ( the dog with the white face ) has gone missing from Pepperwood Lane in Branford about an hour ago !

Staff members are actively looking fir her as she was just recently adopted and may come to them if she sees them . The last sighting was Taylor heading towards Buttonwood Lane .

Earlier we had a call about a woman letting a cat out of a carrier in the Goose Lane area of town. Initially, it was believed that the cat was dumped in a field area. It was determined after the woman was identified that this is a regular workout for the owner and cat. The cat was carried in the crate for bit to rest and then let out to get some exercise. The cat was not walked on the road. It was in the carrier when walking to and from the field.
We confirmed everyone is ok at home and we appreciate all the concern, calls and even people out checking the area.

We are so grateful to Catherine who chose her Kindness Project at Calvin Leete to be donating items for our shelter animals. She arrived at the shelter yesterday with her mom; arms filled with supplies and a giant beautiful smile!
Thank you Catherine for helping our animals! We know you will do great things in your future to continue to help animals and people! ❤️

This is Bo… he was last seen on 1/12/25 when he jumped out of the car in his driveway on Peddlers Rd.

Anyone missing this friendly, handsome devil? He was running with with his 2 best pals, a pit bull mix and a boxer, just living his best life on Route 77 near the Little Store.

Seeing as he is not as athletically gifted as his 2 partners in roaming crime, this furry fella opted for a ride from one of our wonderful community members.
