ADOPTER CHANGED HIS MIND LAST MINUTE WHEN HE WAS SUPPOSED TO TAKE JAKEY. JAKEY WAS SUPPOSED TO BE RESCUED AND IN TIME TO HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS- once again, humans have failed him. We have no answers and we are so upset to know someone could do this to Jakey when every step of the way we made sure this person was 💯 committed. Awful awful awful. They also knew so many were offering help and they insisted they would be the ones to help Jakey so the others were turned away. How do people like this sleep at night?

Jakey is not safe and we do not know his fate now.

If you have the ability to save him before he’s euthanized, please email and we will give you the contact information. You’ll need to arrange it on your own with the facility where he is. He’s in southern CT.

📍CT - L A S T C A L L 🥹🥹🥹 they told him to smile for the pic and he tired his hardest to look happy so someone might choose him 😭💔

We are so sorry Jakey, you didn’t deserve to be failed 2X by humans.

You might recall the story about Jakey who was supposed to dïe 3 weeks ago because his humans didn’t feel like helping him adjust to his new life with them. They booked a euthanasia appointment for him. The vet office intervened and reached out to rescue groups like BARC CT for help getting him adopted.

———-> Unfortunately, we were just informed by the vet’s office that Jakey’s time up now as there is physically no place for him to go. It’s the harsh reality of the situation. 🥺💔

Imagine the BETRAYL he felt the first time around, now he’s been betrayed again. He’s been working so hard over the last three weeks to be the goodest boy hoping a family would come along. But not a single person wants him. 💔

Jakey can be okay with other dogs but for the sake of time, we would prefer he is the only dog OR placed in a home with a submissive dog only. He’s been ok with other dogs and has not had any issues but doesn’t have much experience living with other dogs.

Original Story: His original family said “come on Jakey get in the car😢” and he was so excited he grabbed his tennis ball 🎾 and ran over to the car 🚘 Jakey thought 💭 I bet I’m going to the park to run and play. But that wasn’t the case, Jakey soon realized he’s was going to the vet. He was immediately scared and felt like something weird is going on. He had hope though—because he trusted his mom and dad. So he went right inside like a good boy 🥹 Imagine the confusion and sadness when he watched his mom and dad sign some papers and walk out to the car without him. Jakey sat by the door with the kind vet tech nearby looking out thinking surely they would be back. 😢😢😢
