If your pet has a chip but the information is outdated, it may not be able to do it's job, which is get your pet home safely. But the good news is, updating it only takes a few minutes.

People usually think of the vet as the shots and the checkups and the parts nobody really looks forward to. And sure, that's part of it.

But the little moments like this are the ones that make it all worth it. The dog who wanders over just to say hi. The one who wants a little love before we get started. The ones who put their paws up on the table not because they have to, but because they actually want to be close to us. 🥹

These are the moments that don't show up in any file or any chart, but they're the ones that stick with us long after everyone goes home. It's a good reminder that we're not just caring for patients, we're building little relationships with them along the way.

We're pretty lucky to do what we do. 💚

If your cat is panting, you should definitely be paying attention.

Dogs pant all the time and it's completely normal for them, so a lot of people assume it's the same for cats. It really isn't. Cats don't cool themselves down by panting the way dogs do, so if you notice your cat breathing with their mouth open while they're just laying around, that's usually a sign something is going on. It can mean they're overheated, but it can also point to stress or a breathing issue that needs a closer look.

A few other things worth keeping an eye on in this heat are excessive drooling, restlessness, grooming way more than usual, sprawling out on tile or hardwood to cool off, or seeming a little unsteady on their feet.

Cats are really good at hiding when something is wrong, so if something feels off to you, trust that instinct and give us a call. We would much rather take a look and tell you everything is fine. 💚
