Meet Alpine!

Alpine is a stunning Husky with a playful spirit and a sweet, affectionate heart. At 3 years old and 63 lbs, he’s the perfect mix of energy and companionship.

He walks well on a leash, loves to chase a ball (and actually bring it back!), and is always up for playtime. He happily plays alongside the other pups at the shelter. When the fun winds down, Alpine is just as happy to lean in for affection and soak up love from his people.

With his charm, smarts, and loving personality, Alpine is ready to be someone’s adventure buddy and best friend.

Meet Heffner!

🐾 2 years old
🐾56 lbs

This mellow guy was found as a stray and is ready to join a loving family. He sits beautifully and takes treats gently, making him a joy to train and be around. He adores affection and could happily spend all day getting back rubs from his favorite humans.

He has had positive experiences with other dogs at the shelter and was even giving one of our pups kisses through the fence! He would THRIVE in a home environment as the shelter is too loud and stressful for him. If you aren’t able to adopt Heffner, please consider fostering!

If you’re looking for a calm, loving dog who lives for companionship and gentle pets, Heffner is your guy.

Meet Patches!

This 6-year-old, 63-pound sweetheart is as gentle and easygoing as they come. He’s currently loving life in foster! He may be a little timid at first, but once he knows you, all he wants is to be close by your side.

Patches is low-energy, enjoys a calm pace, and is wonderful on a leash. He knows “sit,” comes when called, and is very treat-motivated—taking his snacks so politely. He isn’t big on toys, but he loves attention and will happily soak up pets and affection.

Bath time isn’t his favorite, but he tries his best and enjoys the part where he gets towel dried (because who doesn’t love a good spa treatment?).

If you’re looking for a sweet, steady companion who just wants to be near you, Patches is ready to be your loyal friend.

Adoption Update! 🥳

Ember & Ivy were adopted together in 2023 and their family says they have been living the best life. 💛 These gorgeous girls spend their days playing, napping in sunny spots, and keeping their humans entertained with double the purrs and double the mischief.

We love seeing bonded pairs get to stay together — and we love it even more when they’re so clearly thriving. Here’s to many more happy years, sweet Ember and Ivy! 🐾💙

300 animals and counting have found new homes since the start of August and Clear the Shelters ! Congrats to Spot on finding his new home this week. 💙

Reminder that this is the FINAL WEEKEND for $25 adoption fees for dogs and cats.

Lost for 6 months… reunited by Animal Control ❤️

Officers Kaz and Catie were called out to pick up a pup named Nita who was found at Food Lion. Luckily, she had a microchip, so they gave the number on file a call— but no one answered.

Not giving up, our officers took things a step further and drove to the listed address. To their surprise, the man who answered the door was SHOCKED and told them he had been looking for her for 6 months and thought he’d never see her again.

Thanks to the persistence of officers Kaz & Catie, Nita and her dad got the happiest surprise reunion imaginable. 🥰
