Hi!! Iām Roxyāthough apparently I also answer to Rox, Ms. Piggy, professional toy collector, and full-time happy girl. I may have previously claimed to be a very refined poodle mix, but recent foster reports suggest I might actually be more border collie, boxer, and/or lab! My fosters do note that I hardly shed at all! Regardless of what breed I am, Iām sweetheart with a lot of enthusiasm for life.
Iām crate trained, potty trained, fantastic on leash, and I already know my name, ācome,ā and āsit.ā Iām working on āwaitā and ādrop it,ā because Iām smart and eager to pleaseāI just sometimes get excited and my body forgets to stop bouncing. I also ātalkā in adorable little grumbles, groans, and snorts instead of barking, which I think is much more sophisticated.
I love toysāespecially tennis balls and chew toysāand may occasionally attempt to stash my treasures behind furniture for safekeeping. I adore gentle neck and face rubs, zooming around the yard, and then promptly passing out in my crate where I may or may not snore a little. Iāve done great meeting other dogs, though I can be a bit enthusiastic and forget that not everyone wants to be greeted like weāre reuniting after ten years apart. Because Iām still learning to keep all four paws on the ground and use my mouth politely when Iām excited, Iād do best with older kids or dog-savvy ones who understand Iām still learning.
