Didi has a calm, easygoing presence and such a sweet personality! She enjoys being part of whatever’s going on around her and is happiest when she’s near her people, ready to soak up affection when it comes her way. While she’s on the quieter side, Didi loves gentle attention. She enjoys being held, curling up in laps, and relaxing with a happy purr.

One of Didi’s endearing quirks is her fondness for men, she seems especially at ease around them!! She’s also very food motivated, which makes bonding with her easy.

Didi would thrive in a calm, low chaos home where she can enjoy a peaceful routine and plenty of closeness with her people!

She’s spayed, up to date on vaccines, and ready to meet her forever family.

Tune in to see Dan, our KKCO dog of the week, on the midday news today at noon ❤️

Dan is a red and rust Doberman Pinscher mix with a natural tail and natural ears. He is approximately 10-11 months old and 40-45 lbs. Dan is friendly and outgoing but can be shy upon initial meetings. He warms up quickly and if you have a treat, he will be your best friend! Dan loves other dogs!

Dan is very active and needs someone who will take him hiking, biking, running or on long walks. He is housetrained and is learning to be in the house uncrated. He will probably do best in a home with another friendly dog. He is definitely not a couch potato although he likes to kick back on the couch after a day of play!

We always have the absolute best time at our weekly Adoption Events 🥰

It’s GREAT socialization, exercise, training, exposure and fun for our adoptable pets - especially around the holidays ✨

And the last two weeks have been incredibly successful for finding forever homes for many of these rescued pets ❤️ (happy tail pics to come)

Thank you SO MUCH to all of our volunteers, fosters, adopters and our community for constantly showing up for these animals!

And thank you so much to for hosting us every week!

✨ADOPT BASS✨ one of our long-timers!
1 year old male Lab/Pittie mix

Bass is a playful happy guy. He’s been in foster for OVER a year!

But, that extra time in foster has given Bass the home skills that most shelter dogs don’t come with. He’s well trained, loves to play, potty trained, crate trained, loves to ride shot-gun in the car, and gets along with the foster’s dog too!

Bassy boy would be a great addition to any active family or person. He would make a great hiking or running partner and would also love to hang out on the couch with you after a great day of play! This pup would be great for all those active Colorado weekend warriors out there! Come meet Bass and fall in love with this goofy pup!

✨ All I want this season is home ✨

This is Dr. Dre (AKA Dusty). When Dusty landed at MCAS, he was completely shut down. Terrified. Depressed. Unsure if he was safe or if anyone was coming back for him.

Dusty has come a long way from where he started, but the truth is: he’s still scared. Being moved around, being alone, and not understanding what’s happening has made it hard for him to feel secure enough to truly relax. What he needs most isn’t time in a kennel, it’s consistency. It’s a family!

Right now, Dusty is being housed at PetSmart GJ, and unless someone chooses him, he’ll be spending Christmas alone. A home wouldn’t just change his holidays, it would change his entire world.

Meet bonded brothers Archie & Alfie 🧡

These two 4-year-old boys came to us shut down, confused, and hurting. Thanks to their incredible foster family, who poured patience, love, and consistency into them from day one, Archie and Alfie have completely blossomed into brand new kitties!!

What were once quiet, withdrawn boys are now seeking affection, joining in on playtime, and even posing for the camera (clearly naturals 📸). They rely on each other for comfort and confidence, which means they must be adopted together.

Archie & Alfie would thrive in a low energy home looking to add a couple of sweet, goofy companions to the family! They've got so much love to give!

🌺ADOPT HIBISCUS🌺 4 year old female Cattle Dog mix

Hibiscus has had a rough life lately. But things are looking up!

After birthing her puppies in the County Shelter, which was tough and probably scary - GRHS found a temporary foster home for her to nurse her babes into health 🥰

Her pups are now weaned and she is so ready to start the next chapter of her life!

Hibiscus is a mellow, mild energy cattle dog who loves people and kids! She would do great with a family who would give her a lot of love, attention and leisure time.

We are also open to a foster-to-adopt set up if anyone is interested in getting to know her that way ✨

Meet Tom Tom & Jelly Roll! Two handsome, hunky man cats with the chunkiest tomcat faces and the sweetest personalities to go with!! ❤️
(Not bonded, just twins in spirit)

These big babies are seriously attention starved and would love nothing more than a family, a couch, and some well earned cuddles. Both would do great as indoor/outdoor kitties since it’s in their roots, but don’t worry, they’re always down for snuggles and quality time with their people.
