In August, we asked for your help voting for Roice-Hurst's video to win a from the The Association for Animal Welfare Advancement and Hill’s Pet Nutrition for a chance to raise up to $10,000 for our shelter pets — and we have an awesome update! 📽

This week, our CEO, Zebulon Miracle, and Resource Advancement Officer, Leigh Ashman, attended the award presentation where it was announced that Roice-Hurst's video, created by filmmaker Hank Braxtan, won the Professional's Choice and a grand total of $6,000 to benefit our shelter pets!

Huge thank you to all who showed support by voting for our video, to Hill’s Pet Nutrition for their generous funding, and to the incredibly talented filmmaker, Hank Braxtan, for generously lending his time, talent, and creativity to make this all possible! Today is our Chip-or-Treat Microchip Clinic and our microchips are ready! 🎃 Bring your dog or cat to Roice-Hurst today between 1-4pm, and we'll get them microchipped for any donation amount, whether that's just a dollar or our regular fee of $40.

A microchip is a permanent form of identification about the size of a grain of rice, implanted between your pet’s shoulder blades. When a shelter or vet scans it, a unique number appears that links to your contact information, helping your lost pet make it home quickly and safely.

First-come, first served, no appointment needed, just show up!

Such a fun Howl-o-ween 5K! 🎃 Thank you to all of the families who joined us for this year's race, which was organized by Grand Junction Sports Commission to benefit WestCo CART! We loved spending the morning with you and your festive pups.

On Saturday, we administered a total of 230 vaccines to 99 pets at our $20 Pet Vaccination Clinic at Tractor Supply! 💉 Thank you to the families who made time this weekend to protect their pets from preventable illnesses. ❤ A special shoutout to Dr. Macy Plano and our amazing volunteers!

Next up: microchips! ✨ Our Chip-or-Treat Pet Microchip Clinic is happening this Thursday, October 29 from 1-4pm at Roice-Hurst Humane Society (362 28 Road). Bring your dog or cat and we'll microchip them for any donation amount of your choice, whether that's just a dollar or our regular fee of $40.
