𝗕𝗶𝗻𝘅 is a young adult female who was surrendered through no fault of her own—her owner’s new lease didn’t allow pets. She’s a beautiful, sweet girl struggling to adjust to shelter life after living in a home. Though shy and often hiding, Binx loves to be petted and clearly craves companionship. Once she feels safe, her affectionate nature begins to shine, and she’ll become a loyal best friend.

7 Days to Decompress: When first brought home, your new cat will need a quiet space—like a small room—where he/she can feel safe and observe from a distance. Establish consistent routines, such as feeding, litter box use, and quiet interaction, to help him/her settle in.

3 Weeks to Start Adjusting: Over the next few weeks, your cat will begin exploring more, recognizing your presence, and getting comfortable with the household’s rhythm. During this time, gentle interaction and positive reinforcement will help build trust.

3 Months to Fully Acclimate: It can take up to three months for adopted pets to feel completely at home, confident, and bonded with their new family. By this time, their personality will shine through, and will likely be showing their affectionate and playful side regularly.
