I have been asked many times why I don't sell my items on Etsy π€·ββοΈ. As much as I would love to, the fees charged would cause me to have to sell my items higher than I'd like π€¦ββοΈ. So, when people want to buy we either transact on Venmo, CashApp, or I can send an invoice for Credit Cards, in which, again, I have to pay fees, but not as much as Etsy.
Here is an example of my current cost for a leash:
All my paracord is made in the USA. I use approx. 80 ft of paracord to make a 5-6ft leash=apprx. $15 in paracord.
I use a stainless steel welded O ring= $2.00 per O ring. I also put a leather stop on the slip part=approx $3.15. It takes about 5 hours to make one leash.
So, for just supplies it will run me approx. $20.15 for supplies. My goal is to sell them for $45 which means if I was to be selling for profit, I'd be making $4.97/hr. BUT, I'm not selling for profit, I'm selling in order to make more leashes to donate to rescues which means for every one leash I sell, I can make 2 more leashes for the rescues with about $5 to spare to help cover shipping on my supplies.
If you are interested in purchasing one of my slip cord leashes so I can donate 2 more to the rescues, feel free to comment, give a πor you can message me, and we'll coordinate the colors and payment and you get the heart warming knowledge that 2 more adopted pups get to go home with a brand new leash and leave behind the shelter life forever. π
Here is an image of the most recent leash made in a beautiful bright red with white inlay.
Much love for all the shares, comments, adopters, fosters, words of encouragement and just basically amazing pet loving people!
