The stress that comes with countless pets running loss in Mesa County isn't acceptable. I shouldnt have to fear hitting your pet children running in the streets daily and I mean daily. This is a plea to all pet owners! Get your act together! You are solely responsible for your gates and fences and pets safety. It ruins people days, weeks and months to scrap your babies off the pavement and rush to the ER costing thousands(you wont pay) because you and your kids can't close a gate and lock it. We need high fines and punishment from the government if you cant be a responsible pet owner.

Reports of a lot of dog poisonings due to Rat poison use. Please Please only use pet-safe products. Rat poison has changed due to laws and is much much worse than before. Please don't use any poisons your dogs/cat can get in to. Please share.

Please help.

2:23 p.m.Marissa has been found safe!!! Thank you to everyone who shared this information! Now that she is no longer considered a missing person, we did remove her picture from our page.

Marissa Leonardi, 21, went hiking yesterday and has not been seen or heard from since. Her friends and family are worried, and though she is an experienced hiker, it is out of character for her to not check in. Marissa drives a 2018 White Ford Escape, with a CMU sticker in the back window and California plates. Investigators are working on her last known location, but it is unknown where she was hiking. If you have any information on her whereabouts, we urge you to please contact the Grand Junction Police Department at 970-242-6707.
