The whole world gets quiet.
Everything outside that little circle of dirt fades away.

No deadlines.
No noise.
No proving anything to anyone.

Just breath.
Hoofbeats.
And being exactly where your hands, seat, and heart are.

Horses move different on mornings like that.
Softer.
Honest.
Present.

Maybe itโ€™s because I do too.

There is peace in not needing to see what comes next, just working with what is right in front of me.

๐Ÿ‚ Itโ€™s officially feeling like FALL! ๐Ÿ‚

With these back-and-forth Texas temperatures, chilly mornings and warm afternoons, itโ€™s important to remember how weather swings can affect our horses. Rapid changes between hot and cold can stress their immune systems, making them more prone to getting sick, especially with respiratory issues or colic.

This is the time of year we start thinking about the blanketing process! Anything under 50ยฐF is a good time to start building their natural winter coat and considering a light or midweight blanket depending on your horseโ€™s needs, age, and workload.

โœจ Tips from the Ranch:
๐Ÿด Allow your horse to grow their coat naturally before heavy blanketing.
๐Ÿ’ง Keep fresh water available, dehydration risk rises in cold snaps too!
๐ŸŒพ Adjust feed slightly to maintain condition as temps drop.

Fall is all about transition, for both horses and humans and a little extra care now keeps them happy, healthy, and ready for winter!
