It’s with heavy hearts and sadness we say goodbye to one of our own today.
For those of you that spent any time at The Cat Clinic you would have known Stacey, our Cat Love’n veterinary assistant. A quiet person, with lots of love to give to all the furry friends in her care.
We were honored to work with Stacey and privileged to have her as a friend. She spent most of her time at The Cat Clinic alongside Dr. Jones caring for cats; but she would step in and step up to help wherever she was needed.
Stacey passed away peacefully today at UTMB surrounded by her closest friends. Gone before her time, but will not be forgotten. We are sure there are animals that have passed over the rainbow bridge that she cared for, greeting her on the other side with much love today.
Given Stacey’s love of animals, if you are inclined to make a donation in her honor, our Sally’s Fund, our animal shelter or rescue in her name would surely make her smile.
Please keep her family and friends in your prayers.
We love you, Stacey, always in our hearts!

Here is an amazing happy ending story we would like to share. Demi came to us on death's door: emaciated, extremely sick and full of every parasite you can think of. With lots of dedication, medical help and most of all TLC she made this amazing recovery and found the loving home she deserves in her foster family. If you can help us save dogs like Demi by fostering, pls let us know, we have more like her. 409 7636484.

We think our staff is amazing!
Dedicated to the care of your animals. We love to show them appreciation for their hard work and the contributions they make each day.

Starting Tuesday, July 1st, we will be give out "AWESOME Citations" to our staff! And you can too! Is there a TAC staff member who stands out to you? Have they been kind, gone the extra mile for you or your pet, or just made you feel good?

If you would like to recognize one or more of our staff for their efforts, you can send a message through FB Messenger. Identify the message as "Staff Recognition", and the staff member you are recognizing, or stop by the clinic and fill out a Citation in person! These will be ongoing recognition, not just a one-time thing, so you can do one any time, as many times as you like.

We will acknowledge their good work with our own TAC Fun Money and present them with all the Citations they receive. They will be able to spend their Fun Money in our “TAC” Store for goodies and other gifts.

It always feels good to do something nice for others!

The Animal Clinic on Galveston Island

The Animal Clinic was established in 1936 and is the oldest veterinary clinic on Galveston Island. It has been privately owned and operated since then and has received the Texas Heritage award from the TVMA. We set ourselves apart by offering exceptional veterinary care in a more relaxed, home-like setting. We offer a separate cat-only clinic right next door to our main building, where cats can receive the specialized treatment they deserve.

We can see the beach from our building and believe that this allows us to represent Galveston in the most appropriate way, in a historic house right on the beach. We work closely with the Galveston Island Humane Society and pride ourselves in the community service we provide, by helping animals in need. We treat dogs and cats, as well as exotics and small farm animals kept as pets. We emphasize disease prevention, offer on-site surgery and dental work, ultrasound, digital radiography, boarding and grooming.
