How has Lola not found a forever home yet. She has been in a foster home all summer and is now back at the Animal Clinic and so sad she has no one to play with. Come meet her at the Animal Clinic. 409-763-6484 for more information.

🌼 Meet Lola! 🌼 She is an 8-month-old German Shepherd Mix, around 36lbs.

This pretty puppy has it all- looks, personality, and a story. Lola came to us in July, and she was extremely sick, requiring her to be hospitalized for months of her early life. Along with being sick, she also had vasculitis in 3 of her legs, causing some of her toes to be amputated. Lola is now ready to make up for lost time! Whether it be playing, snuggling, adventures or treats- Lola is ready for it all!

Lola has been helped along by a dedicated foster who made sure Lola got to experience what it is like to be a happy dog in a house, instead of a sick puppy in the hospital. Now Lola is looking for a leg up in life- she wants to join your family! Schedule a date to meet her! ❤️‍🩹

🎉 Please join us in giving a warm Texas welcome to our newest veterinarian, Dr. Krista Bowen! 🩺🐾
For Dr. Bowen, becoming a veterinarian wasn't just a career choice—it was a lifelong dream. Inspired by All Creatures Great and Small, she knew from a young age that caring for animals was her calling.
At just 10 years old, she began shadowing a small animal veterinarian right here in Galveston. Throughout high school and college, she continued gaining hands-on experience as a veterinary receptionist and technician before earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009.
Dr. Bowen spent seven years practicing mixed animal medicine in Bowling Green, Missouri, followed by several years as an associate veterinarian in O'Fallon, Missouri. Now, we're thrilled that her journey has brought her back home to Texas and to The Animal Clinic of Galveston!
While she enjoys every aspect of veterinary medicine, Dr. Bowen has a special passion for feline medicine and surgery. 🐱❤️
We are excited to have her as part of our team and know our clients and patients will love getting to know her.

💊 Medications
📄 Medical records
🦮 Leash, collar, or carrier
📸 A recent photo of your pet

We're here to help! Send us a recent photo of your pet(s), and we'll add it to their medical record. If you ever need to evacuate, we can email or print a copy of their medical records with their photo included, making identification and emergency care much easier.

We have decided to close on Friday the 3rd of July in observance of Independence Day, to give our staff a well deserved break.
