We’d like to extend our warmest congratulations to Dr. David Handel on his upcoming retirement from Kentlands Veterinary Hospital. After nearly 30 years of dedicated service, he’s touched countless lives through his compassionate care, thoughtful leadership, and unwavering commitment to the Kentlands community. 💙
It’s been a privilege to collaborate with Dr. Handel and his incredible team over the years. His impact will be felt for generations—both through the pets he’s helped and the veterinarians he’s inspired.
Wishing him a peaceful, joy-filled retirement and all the best in this next chapter. 🐾
Dear Kentlands Veterinary Hospital Family,
Twenty-eight years ago my wife and I were looking for a place to call home. While
walking around the Kentlands neighborhood in the spring of 1997 we noticed a sign in the grass that said “Boulevard Shops, Coming Soon”. Seeing that sign led us on an adventure that would shape the rest of our lives. I opened Kentlands Veterinary Hospital on that plot of grass that fall and never looked back.
Over the last three decades we have become an integral part of the Kentlands
community. I have had the great honor of caring for your furry family members and getting to know you and your families. We have always strived to provide the highest quality veterinary care and we have continually added new services and treatment modalities to try to meet the needs of our patients.
One of the greatest pleasures I have had as a veterinarian is that I am now seeing the children of people that I have been seeing for years with their own pets. For 28 years I have had the honor of growing alongside you as a member of this great community. I am extraordinarily thankful that you have allowed me to have the career that I have dreamt about since I was a teenager.
Now it is time for me to pass the torch to the next generation of veterinarians. I am
retiring from Kentlands Veterinary Hospital at the end of June. This is a bittersweet moment for me as I truly love what I do and I enjoy seeing each and every one of you and your pets.
Throughout my career, I have been very fortunate to be surrounded by a dedicated and compassionate staff with an unwavering commitment to our patients. This includes Dr. Christina Stotz, who will be stepping into the role of Lead Veterinarian at Kentlands Veterinary Hospital. I am leaving you all in good hands with Dr. Stotz, my managers Natasha and Jess, and the rest
of our great staff.
I hope to have the chance to say goodbye to you in person. If you would like to stop by Kentlands Veterinary Hospital on Thursday, June 19th from 10AM-2PM, we will be having an open house. I would love to see you one last time!🐾
