With this heatwave hitting us we get questions from clients about shaving their dogs who are double coated breeds. It sounds backwards, but that undercoat and the finer top coat (or guard hairs) help keep your dogs temperature regulated and protected from the sun! We do not recommend shaving! Plus your double coated dogs hair will most likely never grow back the same. While we still have a full summer to enjoy we wanted to put our Open House on your radar!! We are starting to plan our September 13th open house (from 2pm-4pm!) and we hope you will mark your calendars and join us! We will post updates throughout the summer and send email blasts beginning in August. We will have demos, tours, raffles and so much more. We are inviting potential new clients, current clients, their families and anyone else who may be interested in seeing our hospital and talking with our staff. So share the information with whomever you'd like. We hope to see you there!

THIS IS FEAR FREE! 👏🏼👏🏼 Bella was in for her annual exam and her owner opted for annual lab work (annual lab work helps us get a good baseline of your pets lab values. This is especially helpful if your pet gets sick down the road and has some elevated values, with this we know if they are truly elevated or if this has been a trend for them!) Our staff is all fear free certified. We do not scruff cats or force any patients down to do treatments. Bella was happy to hang out in Laura’s arms while Emily did her blood draw. We use lots of treats and distractions for them to make this experience easier and reduce their Fear, Anxiety and Stress. We’re proud of our staff and their low stress handling techniques 🥰🙌🏼🐱

🐾 From saving furry friends to exploring the deep blue 🌊—Laura, our amazing vet tech, just became a certified PADI Scuba Instructor! 🐠💙
After 100+ open water dives, 100 classroom hours, and 20+ hours of road-tripping to PA, she’s officially ready to teach others how to breathe underwater 😮‍💨🐟
Fun fact: Her dad sparked her scuba passion in 2018—now she’s made waves in the Red Sea, Bonaire, Catalina Island, Florida Keys, and even Iceland (yes, ICEland❄️)!
Next up? Southeast Asia, Singapore, Indonesia—basically anywhere with fins and a view 🐬🌏

Some cute puppies from the last couple weeks! We are so happy to welcome Finch and Pepper during the first vet visit with us!! Bogey had his first kitten interaction. He just melted on the floor to gently boop Kiwi, our CSR’s personal kitty!
