Happy National black cat day! Black cats are widely misunderstood. Black cats for the longest time have been associated with bad luck. Black cats unfortunately have the lowest adoption rate due to various reasons such as old superstitions, color bias and poor visibility in shelters due to being so dark. All cats deserve a loving and safe home! You can check for adoptable cats at the Monmouth County SPCA, Associated Humane Society and Ocean county animal facility.
