If your pup has been limping or showing signs of discomfort in their back leg, it could be due to a Cranial Cruciate Ligament (CCL) tear – kind of like an ACL injury in humans. But don’t worry! Not all limps mean surgery, and sometimes rest, rehab, or other treatments can help.

👉 When is TPLO an Option?
In cases where the ligament is fully torn and causing instability, we may recommend TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy). This procedure helps stabilize the knee and allows your dog to move comfortably again. It's one of the best long-term solutions for severe CCL injuries that can’t heal on their own.
