The Louisa Humane Society is hosting a wonderful event, "Empty Bowls for Louisa Humane Society".
All proceeds for this event will benefit the animals in the care of this amazing volunteer-run rescue.
We work with this rescue, aiding the pets they take in with wellness and sick appointments, routine surgeries like spays and neuters, and everything in between. They are a wonderful rescue and we would love if you all could show up and support them!

It's getting closer to that time of year! Steven Summerville of Virginia's Dream Pottery is going into overdrive making bowls for our annual Empty Bowls for The Louisa Humane Society! He'll be joined by other potters where you can browse their pieces of art for purchase. Get those tickets early!

🌟CONGRATULATIONS!🌟 To Toby on receiving his Dog Obedience Qualification! You may recognize Toby and his Mom from his Puppy Preschool Graduation post back in March!
We would love to give a round of applause to his family, for working hard and continuing the education and training for this pup! They deserve all of the gold stars.
His trainer, Tim, stated "Toby is a peach of a pup!" We can all definitely tell by looking at the sweet guy and his goofy smile!

MIK!💫
Mik is a Veterinary Assistant and Grooming Assistant, and has been working at Tidewater Trail Animal Hospital for 4 years!
Her favorite part of her job is “bonding with the patients, learning their unique personalities, and having the opportunity to make them feel and look their best.”
Fun fact! Mik is naturally VERY blonde, but doesn’t like being blonde. Hence all the colors she’s dyed her hair!
Her current obsession is finding new music to listen to.

Check out this DIVA!
Meet Chief, a 7 year old lab who came in to get neutered with us. He was quite a nervous guy when he arrived, but with the help of some 'happy meds' he was able to enjoy his short visit with us.
We know having any kind of surgery is nerve wracking, not just for the pets but also the pet owners. That's why we are always happy to give you updates and reassurance the whole way through!

Tidewater Trail Animal Hospital and Doggie Daycare will be closed Tuesday 8/4 12:00pm -1:15pm, for a Staff Meeting.
We have previously been open for our Staff Meetings, however, due to wanting all of our staff present for the important things we touch on, we are now going to be closed for a brief period of time.
During this brief closure we will not be answering phones or admitting/discharging patients, boarding, or daycare participants.
We want to thank everyone in advance for your understanding!🐾
