Do you know the easiest way to save thousands of cats? Fix one.

Are you feeding or seeing outdoor cats in your neighborhood? Need help getting them spayed or neutered? WCAC is here to assist! Our program is dedicated to helping manage and control the cat population in our community, ensuring a healthier environment for both the cats and our residents.

* Free Spay/Neuter Services for Outdoor Cats
We are currently offering FREE spay and neuter services for outdoor cats in Williamson County! These services are vital in preventing the birth of countless kittens, especially as we approach kitten season. Includes a rabies shot, microchip and ear tip. Remember, the cats must be at least 2 pounds or heavier to qualify.

For indoor cats or those from outside of Williamson County, we offer these services for a modest fee.

Why Spay and Neuter?
Spaying and neutering are essential to controlling the cat population. One unspayed female cat and her offspring can produce thousands of kittens in just a few years. By fixing just one cat, you are preventing the birth of many more, reducing the strain on animal shelters and rescues.

How to Schedule an Appointment
All surgeries are by appointment only. To take advantage of our spay and neuter services, please complete an application online at WCAC Spay/Neuter Services. ---> https://www.adoptwcac.org/293/3660/SpayNeuter-Services
Need Help with a Larger Colony?

If you live in Williamson County and need assistance with trapping a larger colony of cats, don't hesitate to contact our community cat coordinator at (615) 790-5590 x. 1063. She is here to help coordinate efforts to manage and care for community cat colonies.

ACT NOW! Due to high demand, we will not be able to accommodate out-of-county residents later this summer.

Let's work together to control the cat population in Williamson County! Your efforts can make a significant difference.

"An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure"...We know that we could never adopt our way out of the overpopulation of cats in our area and we just do not have unlimited space to bring many into rescue. We are very fortunate to be awarded a grant from United Spay alliance that will provide assistance in Marshall and Lawrence Counties.

If you have a FRIENDLY cat that needs to be fixed, we are here to help. The cat can be your own cat or a friendly stray that passes by. Our goal is to have 120 cats fixed by April to divert kitten intakes for the coming kitten season. This is not for TNR cats. Cats must be able to be handled and transported in a carrier. The target area for this grant is Marshall and Lawrence Counties in TN. We receive the most requests for assistance from those two counties.
1. Submit an application. Your application will be reviewed and we will reach out to you for more information and go over details. https://petstablished.com/petlover/general_form/70734
2. Pay a $25 copay per cat to reserve your spot. That is all you have to pay. The grant covers the rest.
3. Have the cats dropped off and picked up at the designated date and time.
4. Cats will receive spay/neuter surgery, Rabies vaccine, FVRCP vaccine, flea prevention

For our January 15th date, the surgeries will be performed at Middle TN Spay and Neuter Clinic. We have 30 appointments. The drop off and pick up will be at Lucky's location and we will transport to and from the clinic. If you cannot make this date, we will have other days scheduled so go ahead and submit your application.

Fact: Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is the most humane and effective method known for managing unowned, free-roaming cats.

Why? Decades of practices such as feeding bans, leash laws, or even euthanasia have failed to stem overpopulation and reduce the flow of cats and kittens into shelters.

Communities with robust TNR programs consistently see substantial reductions in shelter intake and euthanasia. Spaying and neutering can also eliminate nuisance behaviors and keep cats healthier and less likely to transmit disease—making TNR the best option for cats and their communities!
