Agritourism Support Staff
Job details:
May - Oct We are open 10am - 5pm, Thu-Sun. Shifts for this position will be on a part day basis during those timeframes with the option to pickup more hours or even full day shifts.
Are you high-energy, outspoken, and ready to be the face of Frankenmuthβs favorite public heritage farm? We are looking for Support Staff who can thrive in the "midday rush." Youβll be doing a little bit of everythingβfrom helping guests navigate the farm and managing admission tickets to ensuring our animals are safe and our visitors are smiling. This is a role that requires a mix of "farm-strong" physical ability and "Disney-level" guest service.
What Youβll Do:
β’ Guest Engagement: Be a friendly, outspoken guide for families. You should love children and be comfortable talking to large groups.
β’ Tech & Troubleshooting: Operate basic point-of-sale (POS) systems and help troubleshoot minor tech issues (scanners, tablets, etc.) on the fly.
β’ The Heavy Lifting: This is a working farm. You must be able to lift and move up to 100 lbs (hay bales, feed bags, ect.) as needed.
β’ Special Events: Be the "Surge Team" for our big festivals (July/August), Fall Fright Nights, and the Christmas Markt to bring in extra hours and pay.
Requirements
β’ Age: Must be 17+ years old.
β’ Availability: Must work Saturday & Sunday (11:30 am β 4:00 pm). Flexibility to pick up Thursday/Friday day, morning field trip shifts and evening Special Event shifts is a huge plus!
β’ Safe Environment: As a family-focused destination, we maintain a 100% smoke-free and drug-free environment.
β’ Background Check: All employees must pass a background check due to our daily work with children and school field trips.
β’ Biosecurity Pro: We take animal health seriously. You must be willing to adhere to strict biosecurity protocols (uniform, hand washing, ect.).
β’ Ruminant Restriction: Due to disease cross-contamination risks for our animals, you cannot own or live on a property with sheep, goats, or cows.
β’ Personality: You must genuinely love animals and have the patience and enthusiasm to work with children all day.

Animal Care Technician
Job Details:
May - Dec W-Su 7:30am - 10am
Are you a morning person with a deep passion for livestock care? Grandpa Tinyβs Farm is seeking a dedicated Animal Care Technician to oversee the health and well-being of our animal family. Every morning you would be ensuring our animals are fed, clean, and ready to greet the public. This role is the backbone of our operationβwhile the guests see the "magic," you are the one who ensures the highest standards of animal care and farm biosecurity.
What Youβll Do:
β’ Daily Care: Execute morning feeding, watering, and health checks for all farm animals (livestock, poultry, etc.).
β’ Sanitation & Maintenance: Clean all stalls, pens, and enclosures to ensure a healthy environment and a "guest-ready" appearance for our opening at 10:00 am.
β’ Biosecurity Leadership: Strictly follow and enforce biosecurity protocols, including boot changes and disinfecting tools, to prevent the spread of disease.
β’ Facility Prep: Assist with light farm maintenance and ensuring all animal-related areas are safe for both the livestock and the visiting public.
β’ The "Heavy Lift": Routinely move hay bales, 50lb feed bags, and farm equipment. Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
Requirements:
β’ Experience: Previous experience working with livestock (sheep, goats, cattle, poultry, or horses) is highly preferred.
β’ Strict Biosecurity: To protect our animals from cross-contamination, you must not own, live with, or work with other ruminants (sheep, goats, or cows) outside of Grandpa Tinyβs Farm.
β’ Professionalism: We maintain a 100% smoke-free and drug-free environment.
β’ Reliability: You must be a "self-starter" who is reliable and punctual for early morning shifts, as the farm's daily schedule depends on you.
β’ Background Check is required.
β’ Personality: Must be friendly, outspoken, and love animals. While your primary focus is care, you may occasionally interact with early-arriving guests or school groups.
Skills Weβre Looking For
β’ Observational Skills: Ability to quickly spot signs of illness or injury in various animal species and follow our documentation protocol.
β’ Troubleshooting: A "fix-it" mindsetβif a gate latch is loose or a waterer is leaking, you take the initiative to address it.
β’ Stamina: Ability to work outdoors in all Michigan weather conditions (rain, snow, or heat).
This is a very physically demanding position, but a great workout!

Field Trip Educator
Job Details:
May β Oct, mostly in the Spring and Fall months. 8:45am β 11am are typical hours, some field trips may take place after 11am.
Do you have a "teacherβs heart" and a love for the outdoors? Grandpa Tinyβs Farm is looking for energetic, reliable individuals to lead our School Field Trip program. You will be the "Chief Fun Officer" for groups of energetic students, helping them discover the magic of agriculture, heritage livestock, and farm life.
This is a seasonal, part-time role perfect for retirees, former educators, college students, or anyone who loves working with children and animals.
What Youβll Do:
β’ Guided Learning: Lead groups of school-aged children and guardians through an educational station during field trips.
β’ Hands-On Support: Facilitate interactive activities such as the corn maze, coop tours, and animal petting and learning stations.
β’ Crowd Control: Keep kids safe, engaged, and on schedule while maintaining an upbeat, "outspoken" personality.
β’ Animal Safety: Ensure both children and animals have safe, respectful interactions.
Requirements:
β’ Passion for Kids: You must truly love working with children and have the patience to handle large, excited groups.
β’ Availability: Must be available Thursday and Friday mornings during peak field trip months.
β’ Safe Environment: We are a 100% smoke-free and drug-free environment.
β’ Background Check: A background check is required for all staff due to our work with minors.
β’ Farm Physicality: Must be comfortable being on your feet for several hours.
β’ Biosecurity & Animal Health: You must adhere to strict biosecurity protocols to protect our animals.
