🐶💚 Read More for a great story by our veterinarian, Dr. Dobbin, and her sweet pup:

Peggy-O was found north of Page, AZ in the elements, very pregnant, by the Arizona Cattle Dog Rescue.

On the short ride to Flagstaff, she had 8 puppies in the car. She and her newborn pups were brought to me to have a look since a couple pups had some abnormalities. I will never forget how calm that mama was when I reached in to pull out her pups to examine them.

8 weeks later I spayed and neutered all her pups, who were adopted out very quickly. A few weeks later she was brought in for her spay and her foster had mentioned she still didn't have a home. We had lost our little mutt Sugaree only a few months prior and had noticed, Floyd, our Malamute mix, seemed rather melancholy. Being that we had two young kids, and Floyd was an old fella at this point, we offered to foster her first to see if she was a good fit to our family. Her and Floyd hit it off quickly, from dressing up for music videos, to hiking buddies, to Halloween partners, chasing each other in the snow, and so on.

Peggy-O being a mama herself was a natural with my little girls. The point is, she fit perfectly. We have sadly since lost Floyd, so Peggy is soaking up the spoils of being an only dog, but not for long as we intend to find her a friend very soon. We love our pretty Peggy-O.

And we love our Dr. Dobbin 💚🐾

With summer also comes flea and tick season. Because of how wooded Flagstaff is, fleas and ticks are nearly everywhere you go! It is important to give your fur babies flea and tick preventatives as it protects their health and yours. There are several options out there, however, if you need any Interceptor or Bravecto, give us a call to get it in-house.

Below are some quick tips and facts regarding the importance of keeping up with the preventatives. Give us a call or send us an email to learn more information.

We are open daily from 7:45-5:30 pm, closing for lunch from 12-1:15. Give us a call to refill your medication!
