Meet Brennan, your future best friend and the ultimate good boy! 🐾

Brennan is as sweet as they come. This gentle, friendly pup is happy to meet everyone and loves spending time outside, especially when it involves a casual stroll or soaking up the sun. He’s easy to walk, rides like a champ in the car, and has the perfect energy level: calm and cuddly with just enough pep for moderate adventures.

He’s fully potty trained, well-mannered, and would make a fantastic family dog. Brennan thrives with human companionship and would do best as the only dog in the home. More cuddles for him, more love for you!

Anyone feel like driving to South Carolina to adopt this hippo? 🥹🥰💙🐾

Meet Hondo. He’s blind. He’s lumpy. He’s got one eye that points to heaven and one that quit the job entirely. His tail? It wags like it’s trying to send a Morse code SOS. Honestly, we’re not sure what kind of dog he is - possibly a cross between a piglet, a loaf of bread, and your uncle's old recliner.

But listen. Hondo is PURE LOVE in a slightly crumpled wrapper. He navigates life by smell, snuggles like it’s his full-time job, and snorts like a tiny pig when he’s excited (which is often).

He may not win Best in Show, but he will win your weird little heart. But in all seriousness, Hondo is the PERFECT boy. He loves kids, other dogs, and is potty and crate trained. He’s a diamond in the “ruff”, and ready to change your life.

Good job, Maple! 🥰🐾🐝

Maple is part of the team at MSU’s Pollinator Performance Center doing critical pollinator research and education. A retired police K-9, she uses her super sense of smell to detect bacteria in bee colonies to help prevent disease from spreading.

Currently, beekeepers must manually inspect colonies for disease, but dogs like Maple can identify disease much faster, which could make a big impact on the industry.

This project is one of many occurring at the Pollinator Performance Center. Operating since 2021, the center allows MSU to be at the forefront of honeybee and other pollinator research.

Meet Mouse, a gentle giant with a quiet heart and a love for the outdoors.

If you're looking for a calm, loyal companion to enjoy the fresh air with, Mouse might just be your perfect match. This big sweetheart is happiest in a shady yard or on peaceful walks, where he can soak up the calm and move at his own pace.

Mouse will be your dog's best friend! He lights up around other pups and absolutely needs a confident canine companion at home to help him feel safe. With a friendly dog by his side, you’ll see him blossom with time.

He’s still learning the ropes of indoor life and isn’t quite ready for couch cuddles yet, but he’s full of potential. What Mouse really needs is a patient home, a secure yard, and a kind dog buddy to show him the way.

This sweet boy has likely gone without the comforts of home for much of his life, but now, he’s ready to begin again.

Meet Chantilly — a little cat with a big personality and lots of love to give!

At 2.5 years old, Chantilly is fearless, affectionate, and full of s***k. She’s a playful girl who enjoys lap time on her terms and isn’t shy about letting you know when she’s ready for cuddles (or not!). Independent yet loving, she’s the perfect balance of sass and sweetness.

Chantilly would love a home of her own, literally! She doesn’t do well with other cats, so she currently lives in a kennel at the shelter instead of free roaming with the others. This little diva just wants her humans all to herself, and honestly? She deserves it, especially after raising six kittens!

If you’re looking for a one-cat show with tons of personality, Chantilly is your girl. She’s got enough love, charm, and cattitude to fill your whole home.
