St. Louis Savannahs

St. Louis Savannahs We have retired from breeding Savannahs and moved on to Gardening and Cooking! What is a Savannah? Feel free to ask any and all questions.

A Savannah cat is a cross between a domestic cat and the serval, a medium-sized, large-eared wild African cat. They are known as the "dog-cat" due to their love of water, desire to play fetch and many times walk on a leash. There is a great range of personalities, colors and sizes in this breed, so it is best to know what you want prior to buying. Currently we are producing F3 and next year, F4 k

ittens, that will typically stay the size of a normal house cat, but with the look and personality that is a bit more on the wild side. For a more in depth look at the history and differences in generations, I have provided a few links below. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Savannah_cat

My first attempt at trellis watermelons...what started as a temporary solution in felt bags is going on 3 yrs of successful gardens. While I greatly prefer my vego garden raised beds, these make for a great cheap alternative.

We were really hoping for one more litter, but by the sounds of her howling, I am pretty confident Quinn chose early retirement. She will need a special home with no female cats and a lot of patience to let her adjust to new people. She loves those she trusts and hates those she doesn't! She tolerates dogs but will not be friends with them.if you think you could be a good fit, please message us! We will not ship. She must be picked up in person or delivered nearby.

It's been a hard but happy day. Gus is officially retired and in his new home with Hayley Jo, marking the official end to 12+yrs of breeding. To say it was an amazing chapter in our lives is an understatement. But as my children become adults and my life is changing, it just made sense to say goodbye to the Savannah Community. We will be looking for a new home for our last retired breeder, Quinn, in the near future. We are unsure if she is going to have a final litter or not, so once we know, we will have a better idea if there will be anymore kittens and when she will be ready to go. I am so greatful to everyone along the way. My amazing mentor Donna Pinillos, who, while she is no longer with us, made this program what it was and who talked me through my first heartaches and rooted me on through my first litters. I also owe Cindy del Rosario a big shout out for the two boys she bred that were the backbone of my cattery and Stacee Dallas for tolerating all my late night texts and who helped me navigate things after Donna died. You have all been amazing and I thank you from the bottom of my heart!
