Birdie update 🐾🩵

Look at this happy girl now!

Birdie is making HUGE strides in her recovery. She is officially eating on her own again and no longer needs her NG tube. Seeing her playful, jumpy puppy personality starting to come back has been incredibly rewarding for our entire team after everything she has been through.

She is still being kept in isolation and monitored closely, as parvo patients can continue shedding the virus for weeks to months even after they start feeling better. We are continuing strict sanitation and biosecurity precautions to keep everyone safe while she finishes healing.

Her recovery has required extensive treatment, hospitalization, medications, fluids, around-the-clock care, and constant monitoring, and the costs have added up quickly. We are so thankful for every single person who has donated, shared her story, or supported her journey so far.

If you would still like to help support Birdie’s continued care and recovery, donations can be made by calling our clinic at 636-717-1200.

Thank you for helping us give this sweet girl the second chance she deserves. 🩵

Birdie got her NG tube placed last night and continues to fight like the strong little girl she is. 🩵

An NG (nasogastric) tube is a small feeding tube that goes through the nose into the stomach to help provide nutrition, fluids, and support while she’s too sick to eat enough on her own. It’s an important step in helping keep her strength up as she battles parvo.

She’s still receiving intensive care, lots of love, and plenty of cuddles from our team. Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared her story, and kept her in your thoughts. Your support is helping give this sweet puppy a fighting chance. 🐾

A quick update on our parvo puppy, Birdie 🩵

This sweet girl is still fighting hard and continues to receive around-the-clock care from our team. While she has a long road ahead, she is showing us just how strong she is, and we are not giving up on her.

Unfortunately, parvo treatment is incredibly intensive and costly, especially for a small clinic. Between hospitalization, IV fluids, medications, constant monitoring, isolation protocols, and supportive care, her medical expenses continue to grow each day.

Our original post got a little buried in the Facebook feed, so we wanted to reach back out and ask for help again. If you’ve been considering donating, sharing her story, or even just sending positive thoughts, it would truly mean so much to us and to this puppy who deserves a second chance.

Every donation, no matter the size, goes directly toward her care and helps us continue fighting for her recovery. 🩵

Donations can be made by calling our clinic at 636-717-1200.

Thank you to everyone who has already supported her. Your kindness genuinely means the world to our team

🚨 We need your help! 🚨

This sweet 6-month-old puppy came to us this week extremely sick and tested positive for parvovirus (parvo), a devastating and highly contagious illness that can quickly become life-threatening in young dogs.

After being surrendered into our care, our team made the decision to step in and fight for her. Right now, she is receiving intensive treatment, lots of love, and around-the-clock care from our staff, who are doing everything possible to give her the chance at the happy, healthy life every puppy deserves.

Because parvo is highly contagious, she is being cared for in our fully isolated ward under strict sanitation and biosecurity protocols. Parvo treatment is a long and difficult road that can require days to weeks of hospitalization, medications, fluids, monitoring, and supportive care. As a small clinic, we are taking on the cost of her treatment because we simply couldn’t give up on her.

If you would like to help support her care, donations of any amount would mean the world to us and to this sweet girl who is fighting so hard. Even sharing this post or sending positive thoughts helps more than you know. ❤️

We’re hopeful that with enough support, care, and time, she’ll get the second chance she deserves.

Donations can be made by calling our clinic at 636-717-1200.

🚨 Loki urgently needs help!!! 🚨

Loki is the senior dog who was abandoned by his original owners and left with us back in March. He was briefly placed in a foster home, but unfortunately it was not the right fit for him. Loki is an older dog who becomes overwhelmed in busy environments and really just wants peace, quiet, and stability.

He has clearly been through a lot in his life, and the stress of being bounced around and living in a kennel environment has been VERY hard on him. 😞 What Loki really needs is a calm home with someone patient and understanding who will give him time to decompress and finally feel safe again.

Loki would do best:
• As the only dog, or with calm older dogs
• In a quieter home without a lot of commotion
• With someone willing to give a senior dog a chance

We are begging for shares, rescue interest, foster leads, or the right adopter for sweet Loki. Our clinic is not a long-term environment for him, and we desperately want to see this sweet old guy finally get the stability he deserves. ❤️

Please message us or call the clinic if you can help or know someone who can.

Evo's story has had a lot of ups and downs this week. He was brought to us as a stray, and thanks to his microchip, we were able to find his original family who had been looking for him for years. He was on his way home when a tragic transport accident took the lives of the transporters and the other animals on board. Evo was the only dog not crated and was seen after the crash.

After hours of searching, Evo has been found alive and is currently receiving care. Our hearts are with everyone affected by this accident. ❤

In honor of Evo, and as a reminder of how important identification is, we're offering 50% off microchips for the month of May. It's a simple thing that can make all the difference in getting pets back to where they belong. 🐾
