Happy 89th birthday to Farmer Dan’s oldest sibling! She has many jobs and talents—She is great at keeping track of our family tree of the many many (hundreds) of Teweses that came from John and Mary Tewes (Her and Farmer Dan’s parents). She also keeps the family connected by her email updates. We love you, Sister Mary!

Today we celebrate the birthday of Sr. Mary Tewes!

Since entering St. Walburg Monastery in 1955, Sr. Mary has faithfully shared her gifts through education, hospitality, pastoral ministry, spiritual formation, and Benedictine leadership.

From teaching in Catholic schools to serving families in Harlan, Kentucky, guiding the Benedictine Oblate Program, and accompanying others in faith and spirituality, Sr. Mary’s wisdom and compassionate presence have touched countless lives through the years.

Please join us in wishing Sr. Mary a very happy birthday and keeping her in your prayers!

Happy 73rd birthday to our owner and operator, Farmer Dan! He is proof that farming keeps you young! He always wears many other titles- Dad, Pawpaw (happy bday also to grandson,Jackson), pitcher (still loves softball), brother, uncle, Godfather. We and his many animals are lucky to have him! Stop by Monday 11am-5pm to say happy birthday. We are closed today to celebrate with him!

How the chicken went in the oven…and how it came out ….Now to eat! Roasting chickens $3.50 per lb. This one was 9 lbs. Perfect for family dinner with leftovers! Pick up one at our store on Monday 11-5pm. Use it or freeze it by Tuesday night since no preservatives. We love to see you customer photos. Thanks, Sarah, for sending us these! Yummm
