We have a friend who took in this female Dane. She is almost 7, and is not spayed.

She is currently in heat and is need of updated vaccinations (previous records are accessible)

Please reach out if you or someone you may know is able to give her a home.

😞Unfortunately his owner has become homeless and a family member has taken Doc in until the rescue can take him
✅Will need neuter and vet care updated in foster home. LFAR pays for neuter and necessary vet care at an LFAR approved vet.

👧🏻Kids 8+yrs old due to no history with children
🏠Housebroken and crate trained
🌎Located in Nashville TN area
🚗We currently are open to qualified foster families in TN GA AL MO MS KY OH IN IL SC NC VA WV MD DE PA and can assist with transport to these states. Please understand we are not open to other states due to not having the resources there nor the volunteers to transport to that state.

Family member says "Doc is a gentle giant. A sweet fella that only wants to be loved. Doc will bark at people he doesn't know but once introduced and feels comfortable with his surroundings he is totally a big sweetheart. He's been good with my two dogs. Doc loves attention....he loves treats, to run and play outside. He lets me know if his water bowl is empty or he has to go out to potty."

We provide for all of the dog’s financial needs during fostering. You provide the love and understanding ❤️ with guidance from our experienced volunteers.

We do have high standards for our fosters as we do want to provide our dogs with better than the poor circumstances many come from. So all pets in home must have history of standard vaccines (rabies and dhpp/ we will accept titer testing) and heartworm prevention (for dogs). All pets must be altered (spayed/neutered) unless medically ill advised or too young to safely alter.

Willow is a gentle giant, who loves her people. She is mostly a couch potato but does enjoy laying on the patio in the sun, or going for a nice walk. She also loves the car and does really well riding!

Per our volunteer evaluation "Willow is a sweet girl. She happily greeted me upon arrival. She was gentle and seeking affection. She interacted wonderfully with kids, other dogs and cats in her home. She is a very well cared for and well rounded pup. A unicorn that any family would be lucky to have."

Those of you with furry friends that need to be walked, DO IT EARLY THIS NEXT WEEK! Our forecast highs will have the ground temperatures between 125°- 150° during the heat of the day. For those with pets/livestock outdoors: please provide shade, water, ice cubes!
