🚨 FOSTERS & ADOPTERS NEEDED NOW! 🚨 We are busting at the seams with 𝟐𝟖𝟑+ 𝐝𝐨𝐠𝐬 living full-time across our 2 shelter locations—and they have 𝒏𝒐 𝒔𝒖𝒎𝒎𝒆𝒓 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒔 except waiting in a kennel.

𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘄, 𝗞𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗰𝗸𝘆 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗰𝘂𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗡𝗢 𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗴𝘀. These gentle giants are ready for loving homes—but we need YOU to help change that.

If you've ever considered opening your heart and home to a Great Dane, now is the time. Here's what we’re looking for in adopters:

🐾 𝗔𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀:
➡️ A fully-fenced yard is preferred but not required.
➡️ All household members must agree—𝗻𝗼 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.
➡️ Current pets must be spayed/neutered and up-to-date on vet care (or have valid titers).
➡️ Proof of exceptional vet care, including flea and heartworm prevention.
➡️ Financial readiness to handle the medical needs of a giant breed.
➡️ Great Danes are indoor family members ONLY—no exceptions.
➡️ Homes with small children or applicants under 25 may be considered case-by-case. We discuss with the adopters what dogs they are interested in and able to determine what current dogs fit with their family.
➡️ Adopters must travel to meet/pick up the dog—we do not transport.

➡️ If you experience any errors when completing the application, please send us a private message and we will assist you.
➡️ Once the application is submitted, a volunteer will review it and contact your references, veterinarian and have a phone interview with you.
➡️ Once the interviews are completed, a virtual home visit will be scheduled.
➡️ Once the application is approved, you can schedule a meet n greet with the dog you are interested in! (We’ll help find the best fit—even if it’s not the one you initially chose.)

This sweet 9-month-old girl was just returned from foster through no fault of her own and now she’s back at the shelter wondering what happened
