Shelter Dog Photography

Shelter Dog Photography I love animals . . . I love photography. I volunteer my time to help rescues and shelters share their animals at their best so folks can fall in love. I am ready!

PICTURES SAVE LIVES. I love animals...I love photography. I am volunteering for rescues and shelters to take quality pictures of their adoptable animals so that adopters can see them in their best light and meet their match. My dream is that I could do this full time . . . taking pictures, teaching others to do so to volunteer, creating marketing materials to support shelters and rescues without a

ccess and resources, having a mobile photo studio to support the effort, networking within the community to share lifesaving ideas. Photography makes a difference. It really can save lives. I want to be able to save millions of animals...and I want to be able to dedicate myself full time to doing so. But this requires financial support and so far, the benefactor that is going to make this dream come true hasn't found me. I thought Ellen Degeneres (Halo, Shutterfly) would join me . . . but I've been writing to her for over a year now...so I'm open to accepting offers from someone else! A 5013c is a potential next step for me...but still need support to take off. If you love animals and would like to support me in saving millions of lives . . .

Dearest Gentle Reader…

The social season is positively buzzing over one extraordinary lady named Ompie. And while she may not care much for lavish balls or scandalous gossip, she does dream of one thing: a quiet home where she can finally rest her noble little heart.

At 9 years young, Ompie is the very picture of grace. She prefers sun puddles over chaos, afternoon naps over marathon adventures, and companionship over commotion. Think less ‘diamond of the first water’ and more the warm cup of tea waiting at the end of a long day.

She is gentle. Mannerly. Soulful in the way only senior dogs can be. The kind of companion who asks for very little, yet somehow gives everything. Ompie would happily spend her golden years curled beside you while the world rushes noisily by outside.

But this sweet lady’s story has taken a heartbreaking turn — her time is limited, and she urgently needs an adopter, foster, or rescue commitment.

The best news? Her adoption fee has been waived, because every senior dog deserves the chance to know love, safety, and softness again.

If your heart has room for a loyal old soul with impeccable manners and eyes that still sparkle with hope… Ompie is waiting.

Could you be her happily ever after? 🤍

Ompie has been waiting since January and no one has come for her. Ompie is a senior dog who requires a unicorn home (meaning no other dogs cats and no kids (18+ only)). She is highly stressed onsite, therefore the shelter has searched for interventions, fosters, adopters, and rescues - all with no interest. She has done well in a unicorn home, but should not live with other dogs, cats, or kids. Due to her consistently high level of stress, it is unkind to keep her suffering and therefore, humane euthanasia deadline has been decided. we cannot continue to prolong her suffering.

Here are her placement options:
🆘 Adoption, long-term foster (30+ days), or rescue.
🆘 Ompie needs a home without dogs, cats, or kids (over 18+). She has shown handler guarding, so a single-person or couple home is preferred.

Come to Cincinnati Animal CARE to meet her and ask the staff any specific question. (open everyday from 1-6pm). Please come since phone calls and emails can be slower to be returned due to the animal overpopulation crisis and the high amount of animals in care that are housed at the shelter.

**I AM JUST A VOLUNTEER ADVOCATING FOR OMPIE. I do NOT have control over decisions. If you have issues or grievances, please contact the shelter. If you are mad that dogs are being euthanized, then please help by adopting, fostering, donating, volunteering or sharing OMPIE's posts to help. If you are mad that AI was used to create the image, i am sorry. I have not had the chance to do a photo shoot with this dog . . . but i still wanted to do SOMETHING."

Meet Curly! AKA Mr. We Didn't Know They Made Dogs This Handsome.

Curly is an affectionate goof who is absolutely convinced he’s a lap dog… and no one has had the heart to correct him yet. If there’s a human nearby, he’s leaning on them. If there’s a seat available, he’s already half in it. If you’re standing still, congrats! You now have Curly attached to your leg.

If you couldn't tell, Curly is all about people and he’ll happily follow you around just in case you forgot he exists for 0.5 seconds.

He’s sweet, he’s ridiculous, weighs 40lbs, is about 6 years old, and he’s ready to be someone’s very personal shadow. Meet and greets with other dogs in the home are required.
