Welcome Dr. Mitchell Dial! 🩺🐾🩺

We are proud to welcome Dr. Mitchell Dial to MarketPlace Veterinary Hospital!

Dr. Dial is a graduate of the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine.

He is originally from Texas, and went to the University of Southern California for his undergraduate degree in Biology. He loves the variety of general practice, and his special interests are surgery and dermatology.

He lives in the area with his wife, their 4 dogs and 1 cat. He enjoys distance running, weightlifting, and triathlon.

A shout-out to our hospital manager's dog, The Doctor (Doc for short), who's on the mend! 💕🩹🐶

Doc came in to be treated for an ear hematoma. This is when a collection of blood forms between the skin and cartilage of the ear flap (pinna). It typically results from trauma, such as head shaking or scratching due to ear irritation or infection, causing blood vessels in the ear to rupture. This leads to a swelling filled with blood and fluid on the ear flap.

To help his ear heal, Doc is wearing a special head wrap to keep him from causing more trauma.

We're sending him and his mom all the best. Get well soon, Doc! 🐾💕🐾

Meet "Toasty" Shraf-Hallee😺

This 5-week-old stray kitten was a little unsure about his first vet visit today, but he eventually wore himself out and settled in. The little guy was rescued after he fell into a swimming pool and was brought in by his kind rescuers for an exam.

Good News: The family that fished him out of their pool is keeping him.💖
