🦷Four Dentals in One Day! 🪥

Wednesday was a huge day for our team. We completed FOUR dentals! We don’t normally do this many dentals in one day as they can take several hours each for more severe ones. But our team stepped up with amazing skill, teamwork, and compassion to make sure these painful patients got the care they needed. ❤️

🐾 One was a routine dental cleaning, keeping those pearly whites healthy!

🐾 The second was an emergency dental for stomatitis, a painful inflammation of the mouth and gums.

🐾 The third was an emergency dental for severe dental disease causing major pain.

🐾 And the last… an emergency dental for a jaw fracture. A true teamwork moment!

✨ Here’s to healthy smiles, happy pets, and saving lives! ✨

We could not be happier to announce our FRVH family is growing ONCE AGAIN!🤩 Please help us give the WARMEST welcome to Dr. Monique Reid, joining the team November 18th🤍

Dr. Reid was born and raised in sunny Southern California. Since the age of three, she dreamed of becoming an “animal doctor,” inspired by her passion for science and lifelong love of all animals. She earned her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from the University of California, Davis in 2013, where she also worked as an animal care technician for four years before heading across the country to pursue her veterinary degree.
Dr. Reid graduated with honors from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021 and returned to the greater Sacramento area, where she spent four years practicing at a busy corporate hospital. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care with a gentle touch, empowering pet owners through education, and has special interests in dentistry and dermatology.
Outside the hospital, Dr. Reid enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, their two young boys, and their rescue dogs from Taiwan, Finn and Migo. She loves hiking, playing tennis, and creating beautiful charcuterie boards for friends and family gatherings.

🐾 It’s National Black Cat Day! We have Phasmo here hard at work, and by hard at work we mean sitting on our notes and supervising our client care team 😆 ✨

Black cats haven’t always had it easy. They were once thought to bring back luck, and even today, they historically go missing more often around this time of year than any other.

So today, we’re celebrating all our sleek, magical, and slightly mischievous black cats out there. 🖤✨

🎃Spooky season success! 👻
Our team traded scrubs for screams at our second annual staff trip to last night. Nearly 40 team members & plus ones (not all pictured) braved the night. It’s always nice to take a break from hospital life and have some fun together! 🕷️🕸️ We already can’t wait for next year!

We’re wrapping up Veterinary Technician Week by celebrating three of our incredible leaders, Tiffany, Kelsey and Anna! 🐾
These three play a huge role in helping lead, coach, and guide our patient care department, ensuring that every patient receives the highest level of care and compassion.

Meet Tiffany!
Tiffany the Director of Surgery. She started her journey 12 years ago, right after high school, attending Carrington College to become an RVT. After touring the program, she instantly knew veterinary medicine was where she belonged.
Her favorite part of being an RVT is teaching and mentoring future RVTs and VAs, sharing her passion for animal care, and advocating for the highest standards in veterinary medicine.

Meet Kelsey!
Kelsey is the Director of Dentistry. He began his vet med journey in 2011 as a vet assistant and graduated from Carrington College in 2016. His love for animals (especially cats) inspired him to become an RVT.
His favorite part of the job is helping pets with severe dental issues feel better and improving their oral health so they can live happier, healthier lives.
•
Meet Anna!
Anna is the Director of Patient Care and has been in the field since 2014, starting as an intern during tech school before being hired as a kennel assistant. From a young age, she dreamed of working with animals, even majoring in pre-vetmed at UC Davis before pursuing her RVT license at Cosumnes River College.
Her favorite part of being an RVT is all the hands-on care such as performing treatments, bonding with patients, and helping them heal. She finds it incredibly rewarding to make a difference for someone’s furry family member and loves the balance of advanced skills and teamwork that RVT life brings.

We’re so proud to have such dedicated, compassionate leaders guiding our team and helping us provide the excellent care your pets deserve. 🖤💛

Our Veterinary Technician Week celebration continues! Today we’re spotlighting two more incredible RVTs — Jenny and Jordan! 🐾

Meet Jenny!
Jenny began her vet med journey in 2021 after graduating from Veterinary Allied Staff Education, but her love for animals started long before that.

She’s always known she wanted to work in medicine, and combining that passion with her love for animals made becoming an RVT the perfect fit.

Jenny’s favorite part of being an RVT is working in emergency and emergency surgery. She finds it both challenging and deeply meaningful to be there for animals and their families during their most critical moments. Jenny takes pride in being a strong advocate for her patients. Ensuring their comfort, safety, and care every step of the way.

Meet Jordan!
Jordan started her journey in veterinary medicine five years ago during COVID in 2020 and later graduated from Carrington College of Sacramento to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. She became an RVT so she could provide the same level of care she’d want for her own pets and their families.

Her favorite part of the job is seeing happy, healthy animals head back home to their loving families.

We’re so proud of the compassion, care, and dedication our RVTs bring to every patient — every single day. 💕🐾

We’re keeping the Veterinary Technician Week celebrations going by highlighting two more of our amazing RVTs — Isabelle and Kristin! 🐾
•
Isabelle began her vet med journey in 2020 and graduated from Veterinary Allied Staff Education (VASE) in 2023 as a Registered Veterinary Technician. She became an RVT because she’s passionate about strengthening the bond between pets and their humans through skilled, compassionate care.
Her favorite part of being an RVT is working alongside a team that shares her love for animals and seeing the positive impact her care makes on both pets and their families.
•
Kristin started in the veterinary field 10 years ago as a receptionist and became a licensed RVT in 2018 after graduating from Carrington College. She’s always known she wanted to work with animals of all kinds, and once she entered tech school, she was hooked!
Her favorite part of being an RVT is helping sick or injured pets heal and go home again — there’s nothing more rewarding.

We’re so grateful for the heart, care, and dedication our RVTs bring every single day! 🐕🐾

As we continue celebrating Veterinary Technician Week, let’s meet more of the team! 🐾💛

Meet Clarisa!
Clarisa jumped into veterinary medicine shortly after high school and earned her Associate of Science in Veterinary Technology from Carrington College. Inspired by her love for animals (especially her soul dog, Chuchi 💖) she’s passionate about creating a calm, stress-free environment for every patient.
Her favorite part of being an RVT is building trusting connections with clients and celebrating the special human–animal bond that makes this field so unique. Clarisa is a true animal advocate who loves learning, collaborating, teaching, and growing alongside her amazing colleagues.

Meet Sabrina!
Sabrina started her vet med journey in 2018 after graduating from Veterinary Allied Staff Education. She’s always had a love for animals and knew early on she wanted to work in veterinary medicine.
Her favorite part of being an RVT? Saving lives and cuddling all the adorable patients that come through our doors!
We’re so lucky to have you both, Clarisa and Sabrina! 💕
